Working well but expensive

The existing 4G memory was by Samsung but this was 100% compatible; taking my laptop to a more useable 8G.

I bought a Dell laptop last year with only 4GB memory and thought that was more than enough. Soon after, I found that surfing the web and multitasking with other Office programs were extremely slow - even typing data into MS Word or doing a simple search was painful. I waited for a year for the LT warranty to expire before buying this 8GB memory upgrade (total of 12GB now) - best decision I ever made - it works like I expected it to without any noticeable degradation in speed. Dont buy the Dell proprietary version which will cost you over $200.

16GB is better than 8GB.

I bought a HP laptop knowing it was not going to be very fast, but money was an issue. I did a little research and bought this upgrade for my it and could not be happier. My only regret is that the computer will not take a bigger amount of memory or I would have put that in. But the 8G is working great and very easy to install. Once you get the back of your laptop off!
