I bought more than 20 SSD from Crucial,

The SSD provides the specified capacity, like all other manufacturers (slightly less than nominal size). The free downloadable Acronis cloning software is robust, but far from intuitive, and decidedly cludgy to use. First of all, the package contains minimal instructions, saying only: Use our step-by-step install guide and download free cloning and optimization software (with link). For starters, youll also need an $8 SATA to USB cable to clone your old drive to the SSD (or extra desktop internal power and SATA cables). The instructions sound simple, but neglect to advise that if your source Hard Drive is larger than your new SSD (most are), the clone will likely fail on the recommended automatic setting. You will then need to go into Manual cloning which will in turn require searching the internet for help on how to adjust partition sizes, etc. to fit your data and OS on the new SSD. If you havent ever formatted and partitioned a drive before, you will likely be quite frustrated. Six 1.5 to 3 hour attempts at cloning ALL failed. Acronis primarily bears the blame for not designing cloning software that recognized the size differential and then simply asking the user which partition(s) they wish to shrink to install on the SSD. By comparison, after my six cloning fails with Acronis, I switched to free AOMEI software, and it worked perfectly in less than an hour on my first try.

Used in my Win10 NVR server, and the only data being written to it was a steady 5kb/s for 3 years of influxdb logging. Drive became unbearably slow but didnt actually lose any data, but so slow windows took an hour+ to get to the desktop. No CRC errors or event logs, seems like something in the controller chip is failing. Was able to migrate but took several hours to read ~120gb, with a lot of slowdowns to 3-5mb/s then picking back up to 480+. 11 minutes to write the cloned image to a new MX500 which works fine. Still a Crucial fan, but Ill avoid the BX series..

Was hesitant but it’s been a rock solid performer and brought new life to a very old Q8400 system that now lives as a FOH computer. Very happy with this SSD.

Ce SSD atteint des performances très similaires à celles annoncées (mesuré à 450 Mo/s en écriture et et 530 Mo/s en lecture) ce qui est loin dêtre le cas sur dautres modèles premier prix.

Wer einen schnellen und günstigen Einstieg in die SSD-Welt sucht, wird bei diesem Produkt fündig. Gamer und User, die große Datenmengen bewegen wollen/müssen, sollte jedoch zur MX-Serie greifen, da diese für solche Anwendungsbereiche deutlich bessere Leistungen bietet.
