> 3 dayThis drive performs very well for intermittent loads, like those you would subject the typical workstation internal drive to, but when it is dealing with a sustained write, it slows down to speeds that are more on par with a hard drive, around 200 MB/s. This typically happens after around 400 - 500 GB, which actually happens pretty fast considering how quickly this transfers data while the cache is still available. After you give it a bit of a break, and it is able to clear its cache, it speeds right back up. It is just a little disappointing as I purchased this for use in an external enclosure to quickly copy large amounts of data, a task it does not perform well at, as it cannot cap out USB 3.1 Gen2 for very long. I likely will not be returning it, as it still performs very well as an internal drive, for booting your operating system off of, but not for the intended use case. If you can afford it, go for something out of the 970 series from Samsung. If you cant afford it, Id recommend Silicon Powers NVMe m.2 SSDs over this, as they are able to still perform at around 1,000MB/s (8 gigabit) after cache is exhausted (they do about double that when cache is still available), which is pretty darn close to capping out 3.1 Gen2s theoretical maximum of 10 Gigabit, and only for $20 more...

> 3 dayI cant recommend this at all. After 8 months the PC wouldnt boot up. After some diagnostics and installing Windows on a second hard drive this m.2 pops up with a NVMe Controller hardware failure.
