> 3 dayOf course, what more do you have to say about Crucial and its product... Just Amazing. Of course, this made my old solid-state hard drive seem to drag. The speed is Fantastic

Greater than one weekIn Summary: SSD works fine ONLY via fresh OS install, no help from Crucial. This is a Dell XPS15 9570. On Crucial website, the product compatibility checker says this 4TB drive will work in this system. So I order, update my BIOS to latest 1.27, clone according to the provided Acronis software, and install the new drive. PC dies in the BIOS screen. I call crucial, absolutely no help! I can barely understand the guy, and he tells me the website must have a mistake, it wont work. Determined, I tried a fresh OS (win10) on this, and it works. I dont know why it failed, even if the cloning is bad, the PC should still recognize the drive in the BIOS-- I would have expected OS loading errors. (?) A side note on Crucial: They used to have THE BEST customer service in the industry. They now have THE WORST. It appears that the new Micron CEO has off-shored support, to their detriment. I hope their products are ok, though it looks like the Micron CEO has off shored that too. (Stockholders, are you listening? ) The winner here: Dell. Ive not been a huge fan of Dell, but website support from them (And a well designed system thats easy to upgrade) was great here. The loser: Crucial-- Theyve gone from Hero to Zero in my book.

> 3 dayAs a habit I like to verify all new drives / chips before using them. This was done through an Asus ROG Strix external enclosure on a USB 3.0 gen 1. In comparison to a Samsung 970 Evo on the same setup, this wrote fractionally faster, but read fractionally slower. To be serious it is mostly limited by the port in this case, but I am glad to see close to equal numbers here. A complete fill using 100mb-5gb files yielded 186mb/s average speeds and all files were successfully verified. You will see much higher speeds on a built-in M.2 port, or even on a USB 3.2 port with the right external enclosure. Sadly I cannot give you those numbers currently as Im on a 2015 HP G2 Mini. Either way this is a good buy for the price. Unless you are building a brand new machine it is unlikely your computer or peripherals can even utilize the speed this drive is capable of, let alone a faster one.

> 3 dayUsed the 4TB size as the data drive on GPD Win Max 2 together with a 1TB 2030 NVME as the Windows boot drive for a total of 5TB NVME storage on a 10inch Ryzen 7 netbook for work + gaming inc AI (if AMD brings out simple enough Tensor functionality for Zen 3 :) ) Coming up to 1000 hours usage and its an awesome setup and a great drive! Its PCIe4 but I only really used that when I did my first content load. It warmed up quite a bit when I loaded the first couple of TB on it but now most of the time when I am working its in the 40-50 Dec C range or even lower.
