The crucial P5 plus 1tb is very good value for an ssd. The R/W speeds you get are the best that you can get for this money (at least when i bought this) and i trust that it will last long and work reliably since its made by Crucial, which is the consumer brand of Micron. A good point for the ssd is also that it comes with a (functionally limited) lifetime copy of Acronis trueimage, which makes backups as well as transfer of data to the new ssd from an old hdd/ssd (like your old C: drive) easy. Overall great value for your money, recommended!

I upgraded my Dell Inspiron 15 7580 laptop by replacing the original C: drive, a 128 GB SSD, with the Crucial P5 Plus 2TB. Based on another review for this SSD, I used a USB 3.1 NVMe PCIe enclosure (amazon # B07MNFH1PX) to clone the SSD to the P5 Plus. From that same review, I used Macrium for the cloning.

Brought a 2T ssd (Crucial P5 Plus 2TB) on 8th of October 2022 through Amazon (dealer) at USD210.99. After about 2 months, it started to frequently random auto-disconnected and now cannot be recognized by my macbook even it is in the format of exFAT. There isnt any support from Amazon and even the price dropped to USD164.99. This is the 1st time to buy item at Amazon and try Crucial product. Very disappointed.

Technical support was not very helpful. After trying for 15 days, I gave up. I assume the trouble was with my computer, not the SSD, but still . . .
