Crucial P5 Plus 2TB PCIe Gen4 3D NAND NVMe M.2 Gaming SSD, up to 6600MB/s - CT2000P5PSSD8

I have two of these drives. when I am gaming, they get very hot. See pictures. I have the two tb version installed in the MHQJRH M.2 2280 SSD heatsink. I have a Samsung 980 pro and a Firecuda drive. I also have a couple of gen 3 drives. None of my other drives get nearly as hot. You can see from the pictures that the other drive is not getting nearly as hot. I have a suggestion for laptop owners. That is avoid this drive for your laptop. If you run this drive without a heat sink, It can hit the 70 degree Celsius max real quick. If you get this drive, I suggest that you get a heavy duty heatsink for it. If your motherboard has heat sinks, they will probably be good enough.

Guardando le foto con i vari test ci si rende conto subito che non corrispondono alle descrizioni fatte dal venditore. Premetto che ho fatto i test con unaltro Ssd M.2 Pcie Gen4 Nvme che viene rilasciato per 7000Mb/s e 5000Mb/s e i test da 6848.93 5006.01 quindi non dipende dal PC . La cosa che mi lascia perplesso e che stiamo parlando di un Crucial.

Acheté pour une extension de mémoire sur console PS5, ce SSD interne fonctionne parfaitement avec la console cest incontestable. Le seul hic cest que le débit annoncé par le constructeur nest pas celui vérifié sur PS5 (5632 Mo/s) seulement on est loin des 6600 Mo/s ...

Recently I upgraded my laptop ROG Scar 15 (2022) With Ram and SSD from crucial. No regrets, just amazing!!

There is nothing wrong with this SSD, but this is a warning to anyone trying to clone a HP Elitebook drive by putting this drive in external USB enclosure (and using Macrium reflect or other cloning program). The drive wont boot if its done this way. I spent 10 hours messing with BIOS, boot order, legacy boot, etc. before giving up. The workaround was to install a 2.5 SATA drive directly into the laptop, clone the existing NVMe to the SATA first, then swap out Crucial drive and clone the SATA to the Crucial NVMe. That is the only way I could get it to boot. Hope this helps.
