Customized USB Charging Dock Charger Stand with Cable Compatible with Nintendo 2DS XL

I love having a set of charging docks for my Nintendo 2DS XL consoles. The vertical orientation beats the heck out of stacking them. And they double as display stands for the handheld devices.

By default, the 2DS will lean towards the front a little, which broke the connectivity on the 2 units I tested. I put 2 squares of mounting tape (with the plastic on to prevent it from sticking to the 2DS of course) and it holds it upright and at the correct angle which works as intended almost all of the time. Im not sure if they use a slightly smaller connector so it drops on the charger easier like how nintendo made the switch dock, but something by default about how they make this (in my experience) makes the product non-functional out of the box.

New 2DS XL will not charge unless you apply down and forward pressure on the DS while it is in the dock. Other reviews i read said that it was a snig and secure fit. Returned for a replacement. Hopefully I received a defective unit. Will update if replacement works.

I have this plugged into one of the USB ports on my switch dock. Nice that it comes with a USB cable. Saves up an outlet for something else.
