Initially, the mats are very sticky. I learned how to clean and maintain the mats from a YouTube video (and it works!) so durability is good. I have been using the mats to cut fabric for a quilt I am making. I bought 3 mats for less than the cost of one mat (during a lightning deal, I think) so I am pretty happy with my purchase.

I read the reviews and thought sticky would be a good thing. Hardly. I cant get the backing off the mat and dont have the time or patience to peel it off piece by piece. Will pony up for cricut stuff in the future....

I like these much better, the vinyl sticks to the board much better in my opinion. You get 3 of them for the cost of one cricut branded mat.
