quick and easy expansion. Real good in a pinch if you are out of ports.

Its ok doesnt work with my direct tv all the time, and doesnt work with my wireless system thats upstairs in my house.

Not worth the money, always hangs up, have to reset too much.... Updated and worked with vendor, got frustrated and sold it at flea market for 10 bucks, stay away....

Wish it came with instructions....

I purchased this 5-port switch to sit in the poorly ventilated cabinet I keep my Tivo, PS3 and DVD player in. I was using wireless for all three, but since moving into a larger home, I was having issues with Netflix and Amazon streaming, as well as occasional connection problems with the Tivo. I decided to run one cable rather than three, and chose this switch to connect to my gigabit router. This switch performs well. I havent measured throughput... it just works. I have no problems streaming, playing games and no connection problems with the Tivo. It hasnt increased the temperature inside the cabinet, and thus far hasnt had any of its own temperature problems. Its been through power outages and reconnects correctly every time. Works great as a plug it and forget it device, well worth the money.

Works, no delays. No trouble in setup.

The price on this switch was great and its working as expected. The 5 port is a little misleading though because 1 port is for the in coming wire so you only have 4 outgoing ports.
