Darice Perforated Plastic #14 Mesh Plastic Canvas, White - 8.25 x 11 - 2 Pieces

Working in a care home we are using these to get ladies and gents back into sewing / cross stitch and with plastic needles we can now safely do so. Excellent quality and value for money.

The only reason I gave it four stars was because I wish I had received more canvas for the money spent, but all in all its a great product! I purchased it to make an ornament for a gift exchange and was not disappointed. You use it exactly the same way as you would cross stitch fabric. Although it took a little bit of getting used to because of the different material it was very sturdy and I would definitely use it again and again. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that your needle will not be held taut in it like it does with fabric so sometimes if you dont push the needle through all the way before flipping around to the back it will fall right out LOL. Also make sure to use a minimum of two strands of floss when stitching so that way you get full coverage. It was very easy till cover the back with a piece of felt and Stitch over the edges of my ornament. I was also able to very easily trim the material with my Sharp crafting shears although that would not have been necessary because the more you handle the plastic it warms up and its easy to cut.
