Best Bang For Your Buck. I must admit the DBPower L21 projector is a great buy for the price. It was very simple to set up. the picture is very clear and crisp. the internal speaker is louder than expected and is very very good. the text display is easy to read. the navigation menu is simple and can be controlled with the built-in buttons or the remote control. It connects with Bluetooth speakers for better sound and you can connect a firestick or apple tv. I must recommend this projector for anyone just looking for an outdoor movie night or for someone who is new to the projector and wants to start with something simple. The picture quality and brightness and displays good quality video and bonus that it comes with a remote.

Buy it. I know youve been thinking about getting one. Get this one. Seriously. It took longer to unbox than it did to setup. Within 10 minutes of opening the box I had my laptop connected, my surround sound connected, and a movie playing. The screen took longer to hang. Using it on a 120 screen its about 10-12 feet away and the picture quality is outstanding. At least as good (if not better) than a theater. You can also use it on the outside wall of your house and the picture will still be good at 30-40 feet. My friend got an $800 projector a few years ago and the picture quality on a smaller screen from the same distance was marginally better than this $100 projector. 5 minutes into a movie and you wont even notice (unless you watch everything in 4k in which case nothing this cheap will ever satisfy you anyway so why are you even reading reviews on this?). I cant say enough good about this. Need a remote? Covered. Cables? They got you. Carrying case to take it to a friends house for movie night? It even has compartments. Need to move it a lot so weight is an issue? This little dynamo weighs about 2lbs. You could tell your friends you spent $400 on this and theyll 100% believe you

Update: the company reached out after my review and offered to send a new unit at no charge. The new unit actually worked pretty well. For the price the picture quality and brightness was good. It’s probably 85% as good as a name brand Epson at $600+ but it’s not priced like one either. Ordered a couple of these and many of these $100 projectors are clearly made in the same factory, have the same software and just have a different housing. This was total garbage, no matter where you position it or how much you adjust the zoom, it couldn’t be focused.

Based on the many positive reviews here, I purchased this projector in Nov 2020 to replace a very old and dying Optima projector. Fast forward to June 2021, I finally unboxed the DBPOWER projector, only to find it wouldn’t power up. I contacted DBPOWER’s 24/7 live chat support (late on a Saturday night in California), and the support rep asked me to conduct a few simple and reasonable tests. After easily uploading a brief video to verify the issue, DBPOWER’s support rep confirmed the warranty and informed me she’d send a replacement projector, with no need to return the defective one. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a support call as much as this one, or ever enjoyed a support call prior to this experience. DBPOWER has earned my business, now and in the future. Picture quality: beautiful at night. In total darkness, its perfect. But its also still really good at night when theres a light on in the next room, or a dim lamp on in the same room. In the daytime with the blinds shut, its not great, but you can still watch shows if youd like to. How I use it and how that is going: I connect it to my crappy walmart android and screenmirror movies, animes, and TV shows. Most of the time it works perfectly. Sometimes it lags, sometimes it freezes, sometimes I have to turn it off and turn it back on, sometimes the app freezes and I have to turn off and turn back on my phone. But like I said, the majority of the time it works perfectly. The speaker: average. But that doesnt matter to me for my purposes, because I just Bluetooth connect my phone to my speaker and then place my speaker underneath the screenmirror image on the wall of the movie Im watching, for the TV-with-a-soundbar effect. Its perfect. Its not perfect, of course. Its a cheap projector. But Id buy it again for sure.

We have used this projector 4 times. Twice outdoors, twice in our porch. Each time with different types of screens and/or a sheet against the house. For an easy-going backyard movie experience, it is a great price point. It plugged in quite easily into my laptop and the speaker is louder than I expected. We still use a USB speaker, as that has better acoustics, but if you are doing something casual the built-in speaker is just fine.

The original projector came damaged and it was immediately replaced without issue. Once we received a working projector, it was simple to setup for our outdoor family movie night. We had everything working within minutes. The picture and sound quality were very good. I would recommend.
