I tried it for my little one. She was about 3 months old when I bought it now she is 7 months. So far it’s helped when traveling (to Yosemite) to keep the sun out of hers eyes and to cover her when she sleeps. Covering her when she sleeps or even if she is awake also helps to keep strangers from touching my little one or grabbing her. I keep it on the car seat all the time. I don’t have to remove it to get her in and out of the car seat. My only “complaint” would be the little holding flaps move around a bit when the curtain parts are open/moved to either side of the car seat. The holding flaps will slip/fall/move to one side of the car seat handle which can move the entire cover to the side. To me it’s a minor inconvenience. Maybe add some kind of silicone to the other side of the Velcro so it doesn’t slip on the plastic handle. That would be my only suggestion for improvement.

The Dear Baby Gear blankets are my favorite; I now have three of them and two of the carseat canopies. Excellent quality, gorgeous prints, super soft, and very warm. I also have the blanket in this print, and I receive compliments on the set all the time. Its been super cold and snowy this winter, and this canopy has kept my newborn dry and comfortable when weve had to go out, even when its been snowing.

Very soft material and love the design for my western theme. Definitely recommend especially because you can use for breastfeeding.

Better in person

Its even more cuter in person, & reversible. We loved it however we only got to use it for a few months as it is thick ( I would suggest purchasing for colder months) great quality well made!

Love it and get so much compliments from people. We have the matching blanket as well.
