Dell 45W AC Adapter, Type-C, USB-C

I purchased this extra laptop charging cord on May 21st. Today is June 30th and it no longer worked. Incredibly poor quality and the usb c adapter is practically falling out of where it’s attached.

Charger works fine with a Dell XPS 13 (2020 version). Note, this product does not include an additional USB-A port to charge other devices. When I purchased, the description implied it did. If you want that feature, look to another charger.

I’m knocking a few stars because the description does not match the product delivered. The description states the ability to charge your notebook via USB-C and the ability to charge a seperate USB device. There is no USB charging port. “Charge your USB-C powered laptop or tablet and a USB mobile device simultaneously with the Dell USB-C power adapter plus - 45W. Even if there is only one wall socket in the room, you can use the adapter to charge more than one mobile device. Charging is also made convenient as you can charge your mobile device without having to power up your laptop/tablet.“

The adapter part of the charger is slightly larger than the original that comes with the xps 13, but it has an USB type A port built into the the charger, which the original doesnt (didnt even notice this when I ordered it). It is the same height and width, and about an inch longer than the original. Cord length is the same from the adapter to the outlet, but about a foot shorter from the adapter to the computer. Product appears to be genuine Dell and works beautifully with xps, and gives you a place to charge your phone without a stupid type c to a adapter :). Would buy again.

Works perfect and the USB port is very handy. Perfect for travel. Works for USB-C phones and I expect for Macbook with USB-C charging port.

Dell XPS 15 9550 identifies it as a 65 Watt charger

The advertising says 45W, the packaging says 45W, but the error message on my Dell XPS 13 2 in 1 days You have attached 30W power adapter. See bios setup. So I look closely at the power supply and the label says 30W. Returns waste my time. Not good.

I was weary since the price seemed too good to be true. I did receive an official OEM Dell adapter. Ive only had it a few hours, but its working as expected. There is not much else to review. I plug it in and it supplies my USB-c powered 2-in-one with power. The extra USB A port is also great for charging my phone quickly without draining my laptop battery. Im using this for my Asus Q325UA
