> 3 dayBeautiful laptop for an amazing price, touch screen, number pad, SD slot, HDMI, lightweight & durable! I’m a busy mom of 3 little kids, this laptop has been tossed all over, hit with toys and dropped multiple times yet still standing strong! Internally works amazingly, easy to use, holds hundreds of photos, files and documents. The battery life is standard, and I appreciate the physically charger as it “clicks” into the port, I’ve never had an issue with it falling out while getting moved around. Additional chargers are inexpensive and lightweight!

> 3 dayReplaced a 5 year old laptop with this. Faster processor and more memory. Like that is has the number pad on the right side. Only thing I wish it had was lighted keyboard. The black keyboard is easier to see than a silver one, one of reasons I choose this one. Also that it is a Dell, had good luck with those so far. Bit pricey but I wanted a better one than the last one I had. Oh, do wish the usb outlets werent so close together, I use a fan stand and it has an external usb on it so you can still use the usb outlet, problem is the wire to the stand comes out from the side so depending where you it, it can cover up something else.

17-11-2024I generally prefer to write a review after I have owned the product for a few months, that way I can more objectively provide an honest review of a product (the good, the bad and the ugly). For the price point $589, this Dell laptop is really good and an excellent value! One thing to be aware of!! When I received the LT one of the first things I did is verify the specs. and actual LT hardware, then I checked out the warranty. As it turns out Amazon consciously left out any mention of warranty (I assumed wrongly that this was simply a misnomer on Amazons part, bad assumption). As it turns out the warranty clock started when the LT was delivered to the retail distributor (not Amazon but a third party (busylittlebee)). This means that there was only 4 months remaining on the warranty (originally 14 mo. warranty). I was pissed!!!!!! According to Dells records, this LT was sold to Best Buy, so I dont understand how busylittlebee became the distributor?? Anyway, Dell is a good company and I contacted them, sent them my Amazon Invoice and Dell extended my warranty from the date I purchased the LT to 12 months!! Prior to contacting Dell about the warranty issue I contacted Amazon and Amazons response was return it with an attitude. The LT includes 32GB of RAM which is just right when you have a LT with a touch screen. The larger RAM helps make the touch screen perform better! The huge SSD 1TB is overkill (in my opinion) but no harm. I will not be using this LT for gaming so I did not rate it for this use, primarily being used for multirotor RC devices, recording Drum Covers, misc. other tasks. Others have complained about the display brightness. I took it outside on a sunny day and tested it since this is the environment I will use it when flying my multirotor RC craft. I found the display to be acceptable, readable in sunlight (although there is some glare from the touchscreen), but still the display is adequate when used in full sun outside. The touch screen is very handy when Recording Drum Covers. I use a high performance DT computer for most tasks.

> 3 dayAlways had a work laptop so this was personal purchase ... *Use at home laptop choice to move around (versus lots of work travel) instead of a home desktop. Liked option of different memory and I went with the max to avoid external drives for storage. *Since more of a home use, went with 15.6. If traveling would have gone one size down. Larger screen is super clear but keyboard takes getting used to ... its off center (since they have a full number pad is to the right) and the wrist rest is larger because of the size. *Set up was simple, touch screen and touch pad so far so good. *Designed so screen wraps and lifts the keypad at a slight incline. Interesting if not necessary. Hopefully remains solid but time will tell. It is not a full flip over tablet (just FYI). I am not used to a plastic case and it has a lot of give and feels less solid to type on, but it is what a Dell is. *Disappointed it doesnt have camera suitable for facial recognition or fingerprint pad for access - didnt think to ask that question. Pin/password typed in only. I took that for granted. *Wish it had the USB charger instead of the old school round plug in adaptor as not interchangeable with many other PC laptop brands that have all conformed to USB - bummer because I have no back up now. *Fit for my purpose but I would not want to have to tote it all over the place since I went for the larger size its more clunky / heavy - thats my choice - so make sure you think of your usage. *Dell by brand and reputation is durable and reliable so hoping a good long-term choice.
