09-06-2025This monitor is truly a STEAL for the price. I got my monitor for 81$ and get a clear image. Pretty good for anyone that doesn’t mind a little bit of ghosting. Not good for playing FPS Shooters, but it’s still playable. NOTE: the screen is very sensitive so if you do rage at any game or word processing and punch it it will not perform like the older dell monitors where it can take it. It will break. PROS: Good price, good size (21.5 screen), good resolution (1920x1080), thin and can make any game look clear and crisp (depending on your PC) CONS: Dust magnet, Ghosting issues (your eyes get used to it in about 25-30mins of use), Very sensitive screen, and only VGA (adapters suck, just make sure they don’t move too often)

> 3 dayI purchased two of these monitors in May, 2019. One is fine; the other screen has turned blurry and illegible.

> 3 dayWhy do we need wide screens on a computer? Maybe its just me, but I would like to see a tall screen. This monitor is no taller than the 17 monitor that it replaced. And most applications I use place their menus and control bars on the top or the bottom edges, which makes the usable area of the screen even shorter. So, tell me again, Why do we need wide screens on a computer? All that aside, this Dell SE2216HV LED lit monitor is bright and clear. However, the pedestal has no provision to change to a portrait orientation..

> 3 dayJust received the new 27 monitor and its awesome --- sharp picture, quick response, and much larger than the 23 I was using. This one is a Dell, which Ive in the past had a Dell computer. Having an HP computer, the Dell monitor doesnt recognize it as if it were the same brand but so far its the best in size Ive ever had.

> 3 dayThis monitor is a great deal for the price. 27 monitor for this price is rare, and 1080p on this size still looks great. The colors are bright and crisp, the viewing angles are amazing, but it is IPS so I would expect that. The monitor itself is very thin and looks great with even thinner bezels. Where this monitor seems to fall flat is the black levels, and the backlight bleeding. Keep in mind, for doing things like desktop work, browsing, and even playing games this isnt going to affect you too much. But doing things like Movie watching, or dealing with Photo/Video editing I can totally see why this would bother you. Again, other than that this monitor works well for my needs, and the 75hz is a nice addition as well in games to keep gameplay smooth. Overall this is a great buy, I just cant say I love it when it does have its obvious flaws with the backlight bleeding and black levels.
