A bit skinner than standard laces to make for a better fit. The wax coating is slick enough to move easily, but also stays in place when it needs to. I’m amazed at how great they are. I had struggled to find long enough laces for my vintage high tops, but actually ended up getting some that were too big! I cut them and melted the ends; they have stuck together perfectly and you can barely tell I modified them. Highly recommend!!
