Well. okay...that might be a little bit over-dramatic. but this is probably the worst grease gun design ever. And its not even the high-tech, battery powered part. The problem is its almost impossible to load a tube of grease into without either getting grease all over the place or injuring yourself. Two problems: First; the spring is not contained in the cap when you pull the plunger back. So when you unscrew and remove the cap, the spring is bulging out on all sides making it nearly impossible to get the cap threaded back on. Second; compounding the first problem, the latch for the plunger is totally inadequate. Which means that if youre ever successful in getting the springs coils mostly pushed back in, the plunger will come unlatched and unleashes the entire length of the spring. Ive been using grease guns since I was about 10 years old. Needless to say, Im a lot older then that now. Dewalt customers deserve better than this. This was obviously a poorly designed, rush job in order to get yet another 20V power tool into their lineup. The only lucky part about this whole deal was when I finally got fed up with it (after it bit my finger), I still had two days of eligibility left to return it.

Had it for a few days now, this is one of those tools, where you think why havent I had this. Uses standard 14 oz grease tube. Not a downfall but just an FYI. The tool is heavy and bulky compared to a manual grease gun, but does come with a 3 ft whip so you can set it down. It is definitely hand carryable and not that heavy, just wieldy compared to a regular manual gun. Lastly I added a lube lock to it as well which thats another tool I wouldnt go without again.

Why didnt I get this sooner?! This combined with the Lock N Lube is simply perfect. I have a tractor and multiple 3 pt attachments, and this makes an otherwise PITA chore much easier.

My father uses this for work. The most important thing to know is that it works.
