TL;DR: worth the money. All retractable. Different with each purchase. Will buy again. Expect some broken pens. 4.5/5 I wait tables for a living and have purchased this twice. The ONLY reason I didn’t give this five stars is because there were several broken ones in my first purchase. Purchase 1: all of them were retractable pens, most without clips on them, and the button was silver and shiny. I was a little bummed that they didn’t have clips on them, but received many compliments from patrons about how nicely they wrote. Even had a lady buy one off me for a dollar. All of them were from the most random places, and most of them didn’t look the same. There were a few that did have clips, but they were fatties with a highlighter on the other end. Some of the pens were broken in the box, but I still stand by my rating. In all, waaaay better deal than the crappy bic pens that have caps on them that cost $3 for a pack of ten. 4/5 stars for that purchase exclusively. Purchase 2 (pictured): the picture is after having this box for 9 months, so this is only half of what was in the box. The vast majority were red retractable pens with clips on them, with a few randoms, but I have yet to find any that aren’t retractable or don’t have clips in this one. I only found one broken pen in the entire box this time. These also write nicely. In all, couldn’t be happier with this box. 5/5. I will buy this again when I finish this box, and the only reason this didn’t get 5 stars is because of a few broken ones.

(The seller listed when I purchased was NH Discounts) If youre wondering exactly what 5 pounds of pens looks like.... My box had a total of 283 pens: 26 Fatties - 10 dont have pocket clips, 16 do. All have grips. 155 Skinnies - Normal ballpoint pens, mostly plastic but a few are solid metal. About half have their pocket clips, about half dont 74 Grippies - Normal ballpoint pens with grips, mostly plastic but a few are solid metal. About half have their pocket clips, about half dont 28 Stylus - Ballpoint pens with a stylus, too. 13 have pocket clips, 15 dont. 1 is a fattie with no pocket glip but has a grip. 4 have no grip. 1 is a really nice, heavy metal with grip and pocket clip Tested about 50, all worked and all had black ink.. A few with religious or church messages, none with inappropriate messages that I noticed.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of these pens. Even the ones that are the cheapest (simplest, I guess) are brightly colored, nice looking pens that write very smoothly. Many have the rubber ends for using on a phone or tablet. There are a few with blue ink but the vast majority are black. None were printed upon. Ive used several different ones already and theyve all been great. I would buy them again from this seller without hesitation. Edited to add photos. One pic is of all the different types/colors I received. Love the variety. My favorites are the three on the left. The fatter green and yellow pens in the middle are blue ink, but all the others are black. The red pens with the clear cap have a stylus under the cap and also have a penlight. The box was filled to the top when I received it but Ive already taken several handfuls to work and took out all the blue ink pens to give to my sons teachers. I didnt weigh the box but I feel certain it was well over the projected weight and number of pens.

Great option, esp. if your employees are always stealing your pens. I was worried - since this was my first 5LB pen box purchase - that the pens would work or would be low quality. However, every single pen Ive used has worked just fine. Most of the pens are just misprints. Highly recommend.

I ordered the 5 lb box of pens based on the picture posted by the seller...5 pounds of nice, new, misprinted pens. I got 5 pounds of pens, but thats about the nicest thing I can say. Theyre not new, and many of them are so filthy that Im just going to throw them away. Most of them are plain old stick pens that you find in a hotel room. In fact, most of them ARE from hotels. If youre going to post a picture of what youre selling, then sell me THAT. Not one of the pens I received looks anything like the sellers picture. See for yourself... Ill stay away from this seller.

I ordered these pens because I am a nurse and I use a lot of ink pens. I was hoping that the majority of them would be black because legally thats the only color Im supposed to use. I received roughly 250 ink pens write about 50 were blue in the other 200 were black. I received a good variety of ink pens all but three were in working condition. Of those ink pens about 12 of them had a stylus on them and about 75 had grips all of them had a clip it only two of them were capped pens. Im raving to everyone about my 5 lb of ink pens and recommending to everyone that they purchase this because who doesnt need ink pens, right. I gave all of the blue and stylus pens to my children because they would have taken them anyway, lol. I will most definitely order them again when the time comes and again all of the ink pens were in new condition when I was trying them out the majority of them had the little plastic cover on the tip of the pain where the ink comes out.

Ordered for my office , staff always taking my pens. Advertise 200-250 pens. Got 188 1 broken. 3 blue ink otherwise all intact. And write.

These pens were great. They were about 95% retractable ball point pens. Most were misprinted logos. Seem to all be working as well. They arent as neatly packed in the box as the picture but well worth the price! Using in a Drs office for patients. Go through tons of pens and these are the best deal out there for this purpose. I dont have any complaints and will order again.

It’s five pounds of pens. I work at a veterinary clinic and lose pens constantly to clients do coworkers, so I stopped purchasing expensive pens and got these. Now if they walk away, I’m not worried. I also keep a handful in my purse, and when we go out to eat, I leave a pen or two along with my tip. Wait staff LOVE it, and it allows me to practice random acts of kindness for a low cost! Will definitely reorder when my supplies run low.

A few broke pens in the lot. But for the most part worth the money.
