These were bigger and much thicker than described. Still kept them for wearing around the house in winter. I like the comfort.

I bought number of different wool socks. Some are questionable in terms of wool content. some have very short calf. some are too small. Those are typical made in China crap. This one is great in every aspect. It has the same quality and feel of made in USA. I will give an update to see how it holds after a year or two.

Two reasons to purchase. Comfortable and fits well.

Good price; fit as advertised; cushion feet well ( have serious flat feet issues); I do wash as normal clothes with fabric softener and do not see any harm, have only had about 3 months but likes enough to by 2nd pair. Would recommend them. and no I am not being paid for this post.

Good quality for the price. They are probably good hiking material, but I actually used them for skiing in March temperatures. Worked perfect!!

These were perfect for what I needed. I usually wear anklets and I walk about 5 miles everyday. This winter my ankles were getting cold and with a new pair of hiking boots, I was also getting blisters. These socks are about mid calf in length and are much heavier. Not only do they keep me warmer - they have helped eliminate the blisters. I am very likely to buy again!

These are really cute and a good height, they do the job for warmth! I will say the wool was pretty itchy

I needed wool socks to help protect my toes from exposure to the cold, as they had begun to split and hurt (Raynauds Syndrome?). The socks are a bit large, (Im a Ws 8.5, ) even when laundered, but seem to be protective; and very good Quality for their moderate price point.

These socks are for my wife, whose feet tend to be cold all the time so that she lives in wool socks. Over the past couple of years she has appropriated and worn out all my backpacking socks and now we are in the process of replacing them. We both love merino wool and were attracted by the relative low price of these socks. She loves the socks - nice and warm and comfortable. They are the tiniest bit large for her and, possibly as a result, have a tendency to droop a bit. However not bad enough to even deduct a star. It has been a long time since she had a new pair of Smartwools, but these are in the same class. The worst thing about them is that when I tried to order more, Amazon says that they are out out and don’t know when they will be back, which I read as they have stopped carrying them.
