A little of this tape before I added shower handles and spout made a secure fit!

Wide sealant tape so fewer wraps required to get entire pipe thread covered. Also good for wrapping threads on bolts to allow easy nut install and removal. Good price.

It’s plumbers tape, not much to say. Got a leaky faucet, shower head, hose attachment, (anything that has water running through it and a screw on attachment)? Just unscrew whatever it is. Wrap the outside part of the pipe (with the ridges to screw on the attachment) right onto where you’ll need to screw the attachment on, wrap a couple times to make sure you got the whole ridged part (don’t go nuts and make it thick) just enough to cover it, rip the end off, screw the attachment back on. Lots of directions for a very simple application. No house should be without a roll of this for leaks, replacements, etc. And depending on the age of your attachments, you may need a good wrench to get them off. In that case, don’t wrench off the whole pipe, hold it while you struggle. Once it’s off, clean with CLR and a wire brush before putting back on. Get the rust and water calcium off. Soak them if you need to, it can’t hurt. THEN use the tape to reattach it. This is a staple to keep under the kitchen sink or in the junk drawer. You always eventually need it.

Bought this for a leaky washer machine because our washer uses water from our sink because 1. Our house is really old and 2. Some redneck with his degree in engineering probably lived here at one time. Anywho it does the job.. that is if i got to use it. Gf decided to just tell her dad about it and he brought his valve tape and fixed as this valve tape that I bought was on the way.. yep. There goes $2.

Works well. The first time I only wrapped it around the threads 3 times and there was a single drop leaking from it every 5-7 seconds. The next time I wrapped it 6 times around and got a perfect seal with not a single drop leaking. The tape can be ripped with hands. Be sure to push the tape down around the threads with your thumb before attempting to connect the shower head. Also, clean the threads on the pipe of any previous residue before applying tape for the best results. Only gripe is that I bought this because it was the recommended one. Not knowing anything about sealant tape at the time, I ordered it. When I received the item I did some reading saying 1/2 inch tape is the best size. After using it I discovered this to be true. Half inch tape would have been more than enough. The 3/4 inch tape works the same, but leaves a lot of unused white tape visible on the pipe.

Evenly applies to entire depth of threads.

Adhesion was lacking but worked for what i needed it to. Make sure you stretch it around.
