As another reviewer said, the eye is not smooth; its like running your floss through a tiny bed of thorns which makes the floss all shreddy-looking. Also the needles point is nearly as dull as a tapestry needle; certainly not sharp enough to draw blood (not that youd want to do that). But you get 6 needles of the same size instead of 4 @ 22 and 2 @ 18 (available from Dritz--18 is larger than I like to work with [needles get smaller as the number goes up]). Im going to see if can sand the eyes and points, but really, isnt that the job of the needle makers?

So..I bought this item thinking that a six pack was one pack with six needles. Nope, I got six packs of six needles each! I had to sew together two very thick pieces of cording (think heavy duty backpack straps), and after much research, I decided that a Size 18 needle was the right fit. I dont know anything about sewing or needles. I bought these, some heavy duty thread, watched several videos on YouTube on how to backstitch, and got to work. It turns out that its really hard to manipulate without a needle pusher, but I managed to get it to work. The needles were very sharp and that certainly helped. I had trouble making the backstitch look good, but thats because of my poor sewing skills and not the needles. At the end, I actually did a decent job and repaired what I needed to repair. I kept two packs for myself and gave 4 packs to my mom. Very, very happy with this item, and so happy I got 36 needles instead of 6.

This size needles are recommended for hand sewing of nylon straps, leather and sailcloth. Theyve been excellent and I recommend them.

over half of the needles were corroded in several of the packages and very difficult for students to use with their felt.

Needles are much smaller than what is shown in the picture. I bought these Prime so I should have been able to send them back but it said theyre not eligible for return. Very unhappy and cannot use these needles they are too little for yarn.

    As advertised.Just what I needed !

DMC-Chenille Hand Needles. These are sharp-pointed and long-eyed like embroidery needles but run only in the upper size range like tapestry needles. The needles have a longer eye that allows for multiple strand of thread to slip more easily through. This package contains six metal needles. Available in a variety of sizes, each sold separately. Imported.
