> 24 hourAs another reviewer said, the eye is not smooth; its like running your floss through a tiny bed of thorns which makes the floss all shreddy-looking. Also the needles point is nearly as dull as a tapestry needle; certainly not sharp enough to draw blood (not that youd want to do that). But you get 6 needles of the same size instead of 4 @ 22 and 2 @ 18 (available from Dritz--18 is larger than I like to work with [needles get smaller as the number goes up]). Im going to see if can sand the eyes and points, but really, isnt that the job of the needle makers?

> 24 hourSo..I bought this item thinking that a six pack was one pack with six needles. Nope, I got six packs of six needles each! I had to sew together two very thick pieces of cording (think heavy duty backpack straps), and after much research, I decided that a Size 18 needle was the right fit. I dont know anything about sewing or needles. I bought these, some heavy duty thread, watched several videos on YouTube on how to backstitch, and got to work. It turns out that its really hard to manipulate without a needle pusher, but I managed to get it to work. The needles were very sharp and that certainly helped. I had trouble making the backstitch look good, but thats because of my poor sewing skills and not the needles. At the end, I actually did a decent job and repaired what I needed to repair. I kept two packs for myself and gave 4 packs to my mom. Very, very happy with this item, and so happy I got 36 needles instead of 6.

> 24 hourThis size needles are recommended for hand sewing of nylon straps, leather and sailcloth. Theyve been excellent and I recommend them.

> 24 hourNeedles are much smaller than what is shown in the picture. I bought these Prime so I should have been able to send them back but it said theyre not eligible for return. Very unhappy and cannot use these needles they are too little for yarn.
