DMC 5628-310 Six Strand Embroidery Cotton, 500gm, Black

Fast delivery and was much better deal then buying hundreds of little skiens .

This is a slightly different shade than my skeins of 310, but as long as Im just using the cone, that doesnt matter. There is a LOT of floss on here. Strands separate easily. Good buy.

I use a lot of black embroidery floss - lately, I have bee using it to hand=quilt old t-shirts into squares. I started out just using it to outline the black coloring book lines on a 20-yr-old shirt that I loved. Made the design pop right back out again. Then I started taking others, and using those black edging lines to make quilt squares, to make a quilt out of these shirts I dont really where but are precious. So I have been using a lot of it, which means going to buy it, then winding it on those little plastic squares you have to use unless you want your floss to get all tangles. THIS solved so many problems. Seems to be just the same DMC quality, too.

I got this because I do a lot of cross stitch and I am always needing white. But, I also got it to see if I could dye some of it. I have not had time to get to the dying.

This cone is huge! Much larger than I was expecting since I had never seen one in person. I will not have to buy black floss for a long time.

I know it says 500gm, but until you see it in person, you dont really GET how much that is. This will last you for the rest of your life. Even if you only stitch in black! Its amazing!

Would need a bigger qty for what Im using it for but its better than d 100 g cones Also needed yellow but couldnt find the shade i needed.Had to get it somewhere else

So glad I ordered when I did. People are having a hard time finding DMC black thread. I belong to a group & our patterns use a lot.

Love that they make these big cones.

I do primitive stitchery and use a LARGE quantity of black and red floss. This cone is not quite as dark red as I preferred, but the cost difference between this and buying by the skein is unbelievable. I would order this again.
