Love that they make these big cones.

If you are in the know, you know, some of us stitchers go through a LOT of 310. This floss cone is the most economic way to go if you plan on using skein after skein of it. I averaged it out to about .30 cents a skein, which is a significant savings. The quality of my cones floss is excellent, and just as I expect from the DMC brand.

Working on a large embroidery project so having this large cone size available is very helpful. Thread quality is good.

I use a lot of black embroidery floss - lately, I have bee using it to hand=quilt old t-shirts into squares. I started out just using it to outline the black coloring book lines on a 20-yr-old shirt that I loved. Made the design pop right back out again. Then I started taking others, and using those black edging lines to make quilt squares, to make a quilt out of these shirts I dont really where but are precious. So I have been using a lot of it, which means going to buy it, then winding it on those little plastic squares you have to use unless you want your floss to get all tangles. THIS solved so many problems. Seems to be just the same DMC quality, too.

I fly through this color. Tickled pink to be able to get a giant cone, just so I wont have to keep purchasing so crazy frequently.

I am working on a large project with a lot of black and this was prefect.

I know it says 500gm, but until you see it in person, you dont really GET how much that is. This will last you for the rest of your life. Even if you only stitch in black! Its amazing!

I got this because I do a lot of cross stitch and I am always needing white. But, I also got it to see if I could dye some of it. I have not had time to get to the dying.
