So Im not taking off any stars for my own incompetence when it came to reading the full description. That said, these handles are a nice sturdy hard plastic. I did purchase them thinking they were metal, but these seem like they will work just fine. I was a bit bummed on color selection and that other colors were differently priced, so I chose to get the cheapest black set and then painted them something that would match my daughters style a bit better. Cannot speak on the durability of the paint on the plastic, but Im going to give it ample binding time as the paint is for plastics. Ive included pics of how they came initially as well as one of the painted ones. No complaints.

We are in our seventies. We love to work in the yard and garage.These playground handles have been life savers.We have installed 3 sets of four of these handles in the yard and garage. We never have to worry about having handles in strategic locations to help us rise when we are working in the yard. In the garage these handles have helped us feel secure when we are retrieving holiday decorations or just working in the garage in general. And, we never need a ladder! A safe step stool and playground handles do the job. Love these. You will too. The fun colors make them easy to spot when you need to reach for a handle. These handles are a safety must. Thank You!

These were so easy to install and perfect size for my little guys to trap. Not slippery either

Handles are tear screws absolutely suck. Use your own and make it easy on yourself.

Easy to install overall but only thing I didnt like was that it didnt fit the shape of a standard Phillips head screwdriver well enough so my driver kept slipping out. Jad to use a socket wrench to finish the installation. They work well and are very strong.

I installed these on a custom bunk-bed to help with climbing the ladder. Its been about 4 months now, and using the included screws (into soft-wood) there has been no signs of wiggle!
