The diamonds in the kits come in little packets. No way can they be used that way so you really need this item if you plan to do diamond painting.

this is great for my kits the bottles hold plenty of diamonds and are easy to open and close. no spills. i like the funnel for filling them also.

This is such a great way to organize everything needed for my Diamond art!
