I have really sensitive skin and I am sensitive to smells too, but this smells very mild and is non-irritating. I have been using it for years and it is my favorite!

I have extremely sensitive skin and I was so positive that this Dove Sensitive Skin Deodorant would work for me that I purchased the 6-pack. I have been using Dove soap for years and its one of the only products I have not developed a sensitivity to. Unfortunately, every day I used this Dove Sensitive Skin Deodorant I smelled worse than if I had not used it at all. Maybe it is just how my body chemistry reacts to this deodorant, but I now have 5 1/2 containers of deodorant I will not be able to use. I am beyond disappointed. PS - I switched deodorants and that horrible smell has gone away. PPS - I did NOT have an adverse allergic skin reaction to this deodorant

Excellent antiperspirant that blocks sweat glands without entering the skin or body. This product is not available outside the US presumably because it contains aluminum. Aluminum is used in many deodorants but not in Europe due to concern that it is correlated to Alzheimers and cancer in studies from the eighties and seventies. However, these studies have been rejected by the American Cancer Society as flawed. The active ingredient that is not absorbed is aluminum chlorohydrate or aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex gly. The common yellow stain of white undershirts that builds up over six months or so can be removed by washing very hot (above 60C, ideally 90C), bleach or vinegar. Of course, it might be time to replace the underwear at this time, anyway. According to Wikipedia, Functions: Anhydrous aluminium zirconium tetrachlorohydrex gly functions by diffusing into the sweat gland and forming a colloidal plug which limits the flow of sweat to the skin surface. The plug is gradually broken down and normal sweating resumes. Clothing stains: When mixed with sweat, aluminium zirconium tetrachlorohydrex gly is known to stain clothing with a yellowish tint.[2] It can also cause a stiffening of the affected areas of clothing. These stains can be removed with the application of vinegar or a mild bleach.

product was fine but ordered 6 pack and a single stick was sent. spent $24 on a single stick. got a refund and reordered the 6 pack but still inconvenient.

I love using Dove antiperspirant and had switched from using Mitchum (men’s) unscented solid for years. Finding an unscented product has become maddeningly difficult in my neck of the woods and I require it. If I want to smell like anything in particular, I will take care to purchase a personal/signature scent perfume and apply very sparingly. Lots of people are sensitive to fragrance and don’t need the irritation, and the seduction of personal scent is that the object of ones desire must come closer if they want a real hit of the scent. That’s my philosophy and may not be yours so I will move on. I love that Dove keeps me dry and funk-free while also leaving my underarms soft and free from irritation. I used to think the two were mutually exclusive! If I anticipate a particularly stressful event or it’s a warm weather season, I apply Dove nightly right before bed, as I find it’s much more effective than when it’s applied directly after bathing or when I am already warm. I don’t think this (the one I purchased) formula is Dove’s most recent or advanced, but it’s still great for the reasons listed, and there was no unscented option available in the newer formula at the time of my purchase.

Great for sensitive skin, and absolutely no scent. However, you have to apply at least twice a day to prevent from smelling yourself.

Why is this deodorant so hard to find?! I order large quantities of this deodorant on amazon as I cannot find it in stores. I have extremely sensitive skin so I need a deodorant that is truly unscented without any added fragrances. This deodorant contains neither. I can use it directly after shaving without any burning or stinging. I also find this deodorant to be effective against odor and significant wetness. I tend to sweat (not excessively) and this deodorant helps minimize it, but does not stop all sweating. I do not have problems with this deodorant staining my clothes. This is a wonderful deodorant for those with sensitive skin. I wont use anything else!

I have sensitive underarms. With shaving and the occasional shirt that seems to rub against your armpit all day long using the wrong deodorants can make it all the worse. Dove Sensitive Deodorant smells great and doesnt irritate my skin. Its also nice that it comes in a 6 pack that I can add to my subscribe and save and get an even better price!
