Greater than one weekExcellent quality. I personally did not use the leather straps. I bought some 175lbs zip-ties for a cleaner more secure install.

> 3 dayIt just arrived today I was able to find a spot on where to install it. Seems sturdy, and looks neat on my bike. I like the size and the leather straps. Hope it last long

20-11-2024Took a round file and cleaned strap slits in the plastic back wall. I was afraid that rough edges will cut through the straps. Also mounted straps from inside the bag. It eats some available space up, but looks safer. Fits 2021 HD Softail Slim, but I didnt ride with it yet. Update 5/25/2022 Took a few rides and the bag is still there!

> 3 dayThe pleather is strong, the pseudo grain looks realistic, the color contrasts a flat black bike quite well, the buckles are sturdy and the cinching straps are strong. Overall the construction quality is good though they could have really improved on the visuals by taking a more creative note with the stitching. Perhaps provide a larger thread size and offer different color stitching to match seat stitching. Ive installed it on the swingarm opposite side from the exhaust on a 2008 C50T. I run with a luggage rack on the rear fender instead of the passenger seat and sissy bar so taking off the rear passenger pegs to accommodate the install was no big issue BUT was required in order to ensure the best positioning for the bag. Overall this bag looks nice and fits relatively well but sheesh man, the thing is very expensive and doesnt hold much of anything. I basically throw in my tool kit and a reg document holder and theres just not much room beyond that. Did I mention this thing looks good? Yeah, it does look good but take it from me, a rider with a completely reattached quad and having every ligament replaced and carrying a dizzy amount of hardware in my leg... the quick release buckles being so low to the ground make this a very bad purchase for me. Due to an inability to kneel on the bad knee, I find it near impossible to use the bag regularly. Just too hard to kick my leg out straight (lack of a high angle bend) and balance on the other leg while trying to open the bag. So, if you buy it for the looks AND you dont intend to use the storage space regularly, this bag will be a great purchase. If you intend to use it to carry much more than a couple of items and get to those items regularly, I recommend you buy this only if you are still in your 30s or younger and havent accumulated so many knee issues that the height of the quick release buckles becomes a liability. The unexpected disappointment was its inability to hold my optimus green bottle (34 oz) without either leaning it or having the top push up on the bag flap. Prior to purchase I did compare the bag stated dimensions with what I measured my bottle to be but didnt account for the slope of the bag bottom so even though the edge of the bag is high enough to fit, the cap isnt at the edge (go figure) its almost 2 inches from the edge where the slope reduces the height significantly. If I hadnt already superglued in some hook and loop straps on the inside of the bag to hold the bottle in place up against the long edge of the compartment, Id have likely sent it back and chosen a different bag. Maybe one with the bottle sleeve on the outside. Overall Ive improved the look of my bike with this bag though I didnt really think the low height of the bag would affect me as much as it has. So, in summary, if you have any sort of mobility issue that keeps you from being able to comfortably operate the quick release buckles you will not have a good time using this bag for every day carry items. If you intend on using a fuel bottle, make sure you subtract about 1.5 inches or so from the height of this bag before comparing to your fuel bottle to ensure your bottle can fit without pushing up the enclosure flap. To be fair, this is really not a huge issue in the case of my bottle in that, the push up on the enclosure flap though noticeable is not a deal breaker.

> 3 dayThe bag is a little smaller than I was expecting but it is well made. The straps hold it securely and it fits the swing arm nicely. The box contains the bag came in a larger box and the inner box had been opened before. The hard plastic backing had some light scratches like it had been installed before but the visible bag looked perfect. I fastened it with the buckles on the inside and it fits the large diameter of the swing arm perfectly. I can see where it could be loose on a smaller diameter rigid frame. Other than the slight stuffing I am happy with the purchase.

> 3 dayI have used this for three years. It has held up well and is in good condition. Unfortunately I am retiring this bag immediately. It has scratched my swing arm completely through the powder coat. (If your bike is chrome this may not be an issue) I had added padding under this bag to attempt to prevent cosmetic damage but was not successful. I will now be using a sissy bar bag to carry needful items. So consider if your paint job will be compromised by this.

> 3 dayThe product page says this is incompatible with my 2021 Fat Bob 114, but I was able to attach to my swing arm with no issues. Overall it is an okay swing arm bag. If you compare it to the price of a similar HD made bags price it is worth the money. I like it enough to keep it. However the main factor behind that is another swing arm bag I wanted was out of stock. I was going to buy this one and the Hoodrat swing arm bag from Kuryakyn; Compare the two and return the one I liked less. There is some slack if you use the supplied synthetic leather straps to attach the bag. It is one of those situations where when you pull the strap through the buckle as tight as you can; The prong will line up between 2 holes and you cant quite make it to the tightest setting. I know others have been using 14 zip-ties and have had great success, which I may end up doing. Not primarily for a more snug mount but more to cut down on the clutter the straps create in side the bag its self. Once mounted the straps & buckles cause a decent amount of loss of storage capacity for such a small bag. Even with trimming the excess off the straps there is still a bit too much bulk for a bag with such low storage capacity. There are two main issues I have with this bag and both of them have to do with this hard plastic mold that lines the interior of this bag. The first is that plastic mold covers the two narrow sides (front end and rear end of the bike, but not the front side of the bag (clutch side of the bike). The back side of the bag (side near the swing arm) is entirely plastic mold with a plastic film on the exterior, not synthetic leather. The second issue is that the mold does not fully seat in the deepest corner. So there is a decent size gap between the plastic mold and the interior of the bag and this cuts out a good few square inches of storage capacity. This also creates a hassle when running your straps, as when you feed the strap it wants to go under the plastic molding. Takes some finesse to properly route in a space that you are working blind due to your hand obstructing your vision. After reading if you feel your main concern is that the product page shows it as incompatible with your soft tail; I say dont worry about that. I am willing to bet this will mount on any soft tail with a clutch side swing arm.

> 3 dayFirst this is a good quality good choice for this type of bag. If you want one exactly like this one with the Harley Davidson logo I spotted it at the local dealer for $269.00. No thanks. However, I tried three times to install this before I figured it out. From my experience I say step one is to throw away the leather straps that come with them. I tried twice to install it with the leather straps they provide, got frustrated and walked away. For one it is like the buckles on the leather straps are backwards. What I finally did is stopped at the local auto parts store and bought the widest largest zip ties they had. I then took a zip tie and fed it through the bottom hole and just started it. I then fed a tie through the two top holes and then pulled both of them tight. Once I had both of them tight I pulled the bottom one tight and clipped them all off. I pulled them tight and cut them off inside the bag for appearance purposes. The whole process with the zip ties took me about 5 minutes. I had wasted more time then that trying to attach them with the leather bands to no avail.
