Fantastic & able to tap 1/2 & 3/4 pvc for threaded fitting in the side of 6 pvc

The first time using the kit the 1/2” tap broke on the cutting edge on multiple threads. I was using it on cast iron. An approved material for this tap set.

Cheap box came in all damaged but the taps were fine. Well worth it for the price, just get your own box to put them in.

The storage box the taps come in is pretty much junk. The partitions are not made to hold the taps so any time the box is moved, all the taps scatter inside. The latches are not much stronger than tin foil. By the time I received the taps, the box was useless.

They came in a nice case.

Just got the package. The taps seem nice but the box was broken when I opened it which was disappointing.

Most tap kits are only for machine bolts, course or fine thread. This kit is pipe thread and includes the most common industrial NPT fittings. I mostly work in steel, stainless steel and brass and these are Ideal for repairing threads. I would be careful trying to cut new threads but I would assume that the kit is plenty hard enough.

Actual product (Taps/Tools) work well. Too bad the wooden storage box was shipped in a cheap USPS bag! Storage box was in about 8 pieces after USPS got done playing football with it! Should have been in a box!

This fulfilled my need to get a high quality set of taps. Very sharp and long lasting. Worked great.

I need to cut threads a bit farther in 3/4 cast iron pipe clamps (Pony brand). Wore down on first use. These dies are constructed of carbon steel and it turns out I should be using High Speed Steel dies. I am returning.
