> 24 hourThis was a slow review, shipment from Amazon was super fast but Orbital Polisher arrived without polishing pads and I have to order a set of new pads to do a proper review. I’m new to detailing and In preparation for the big day of polishing/waxing my car, sons car, and my motorcycle, I spent a lot of time on YouTube and learning about polishers and different steps to do proper waxing. It was all worth waiting, the Dual Action Polisher M8S V2 is a monster, With a 1000w motor that feels like a heavy-duty professional machine that other pros are using. Solidly built and lots of power without any concern that the polisher will get hotter or stop working, It does everything as advertised. Worth a try if youre not a Polisher snob.

> 24 hourThis thing is great!! It is quite powerful, so if you don’t know what you’re doing, just be careful with the speed setting you select!!! Start slow and work your way up. If you start too high, you can easily damage your clear coat/gel coat. It has 6 speed settings, but there’s more than just that as you can select between any two speeds, it’s closer to 18 different speeds. It has great ergonomics…I really like the grip at the top. Very easy to use, once you know what you’re doing. Highly recommended…and it’s at a great price point!!

> 24 hourI have five cars - and theyre mostly over 10 years old - so, along with the age comes some oxidation of the paint, just general weathering. So, Im watching a bunch of videos on how to restore the look and this is the solution that most of those experts gave - so I bit, got this MaxShine and Ive been very pleased. Even took away the oxidation on an old head light. Wish I had some before and after pictures to share, but get this, get a good set of polisher sponges (make sure they are the right size) and some polish - and go for it. Polished up some plastic chairs, too. Polisher is easy to use - attach the right grit sponge pad - and go for it!

> 24 hourIll be honest, this is my first DA polisher, but probably will be the only one for a long time. Ive seen the MaxShine M8S pop up a lot from DIY detailers Ive talked to as one of the go-to budget DA polishers, but there were a few issues with the v1 that I wasnt quite comfortable with maintaining. I got to use the v1 but I didnt feel like it was for me. Then I saw the v2 pop up in my offers list, and I was like whoa, that looks quite different, and improved. And it is. Ive become a little more adventurous with my vehicles, namely going outdoors, onto the trails, and exposing them to the dangers of rocks and trees and the like. Inevitably, my cars have suffered a fair amount of paint defects. I used to treat small scratches on the daily driver by hand, using a car sponge, polisher, scratch fixer, wax, etc. you name it. But when your car gets a case of trail rash or splatters of mud and bits of rock across full panels of your car, doing it by hand just doesnt cut it anymore. Thats all changed since Ive gotten the MaxShine M8S V2. As a DA polisher, its not forced, and it provides a decent 8mm orbit. Yes, theres the larger 15mm orbit on the M15 pro model, but that covers a lot of space and Im not that experienced yet at controlling this thing. That said, the 8mm throw is fairly easy to manage, still covers a good amount of space, and provides some versatility around the tighter corners. Thats coming from a beginner and a first-time user. Im currently using Meguiar pads with 3D products and Im achieving results I would have never been able to by hand. Im not worried about burning my paint because the MaxShine is DA and not forced rotation. As a beginner getting into detailing with tools, I feel the MaxShine M8S V2 is a fantastic beginners tool and should last me for a very long time. Maintenance seems easy enough with easy access to the carbon brushes and Maxshine includes an extra set too. I just wish the speed dial wasnt on the bottom but on the top instead.

> 24 hourI have been really pleased with this MaxShine polisher. It appears to be very well made, has quality feel to it, and is well balanced in your hand. It is heavy enough to apply light pressure under its own weight without being tempted to press the polisher into the surface but not so heavy as to become tiring to use over long periods of time. It comes with a detachable handle, but I tend leave it off as I have found it comfortable to use this polisher at any required angle without it. I have been using this polisher to apply sealants and waxes, but it has enough power to do light paint correction tasks too (although it is a bit too small for heavy paint correction). Overall, this is great, beginner friendly DA polisher that can also serve a seasoned car detailer/pro. I recommend it.

> 24 hourWow, this Max shine polisher is definitely better than my previous one. The motor and handling for this polisher is excellent. It’s very ergonomic but it is on the heavier side. The construction is very robust and I have no doubt it will outlast the cars/SUVs I will own. The kit doesn’t come with any pads so plan to purchase some. With my older polishers, I’ve had to install Velcro in order to use different cutting and polishing pads but the MaxShine come with a disk that lets my current pads stick like glue. It seriously takes some effort to take them off which gives confidence that they won’t fly off when in use. Although it’s designed to be used with smaller pads, as you can see from the photos, I can easily use a 6in pad with no issues. The motor is strong and isn’t loud which is a plus. The only con is that it’s gets heavy while using it for a long period of time so if your working on an SUV or larger vehicle, I would advise to put on the included handle for extra support. Overall, this is great for any level of detailer. It’s a noticeable step up in its price category and I would definitely recommend.

> 24 hourThis is a very nice polisher especially for the price. Its great for someone who is just starting out using polishers as it has an 8mm throw which can be easier to use. The pad is 5 inches which is a great all around size for vehicles. I really like the platypus handle design as it does make holding the unit more comfortable. The unit comes with a case to store the extras like the optional handle, etc. Youll want to get some pads for it as it doesnt come with any. A general use orange pad and a finer pad should be all that you need to start getting great results. It has 6 speeds to choose from and lets you choose in 1/2 step increments. Ive used it to polish as well as apply and spread a sealant and so far its been great. Its the perfect polisher for the DIYer while also being able to handle more professional work if needed. Ive used MaxShine polishers in the past and have had nothing but good luck with them. Im sure Ill have the same with this polisher.
