> 3 dayDune Imperium is incredibly fun and replayable. I have nearly 300 games logged at this point - it’s truly an addiction. The clever combination of deck building with worker placement, the variety of cards, the conflict system, the alliances - it all makes for some beautifully tense and satisfying matches. Rise of Ix expansion is a non-negotiable. You need to get it to enjoy this game to its fullest. Immortality which recently released is another very solid expansion I would recommend. Can’t go wrong with this one. Relatively simple to learn and it can provide hours and hours of the best that board gaming has to offer.

> 3 dayThis is a very thematic strategy game. If you are totally new into modern strategy board games, Id suggest you go to YouTube and watch a how to play video prior to getting this to the table. If you are a modern boardgamer the rules are well written and have familiar deck building a worker placement mechanics. I highly recommend this to fans of deck building and worker placement, but would like to specify this is really best with 3 or 4 players. There is an AI deck that you can use with lesser player counts, but the game shines at 4 or 4.

> 3 dayThis game takes around 90-120 minutes with a 5 minute set up. The game may start a bit slow and luck-based (depending on your draw). But as the game progresses, rounds become very intense. You must balance all your resources and optimize your actions. You must weigh the pros and cons of every action and pay attention to your opponents. Conflicts become very important and the intrigue cards can be make gameplay very exciting. Games get very close near the end and often come down to tie breakers. Its extremely fun and full of strategy. Every game is different since theres an infinite number of combinations you can create with your deck. Theres also great room for synergies between the factions. Overall, I love this strategy game. Its so fun!

Greater than one weekAs a Dune fan and a strategy board game fan, I can happily say this game is excellent in both categories. It both beautifully encompasses the lore & essence of the Dune world while being a tight & well constructed worker placement/deck builder game. The game offers a Goldilocks level of complexity in decision making & worker placement while creating a variety of ever changing resources from additional cards for your deck as well as game changing intrigue cards. This combined with nail biting conflicts at the end of each round makes for a well balanced & super fun game. The options are never limited, or excessive, but still offer a decent amount of surprises from luck that can still be thwarted from skillful playing. Solo/2 Player: I wasn’t much of a solo player prior to 2020 often playing games with my husband or in our group. The solo & 2 player options are excellent with an ingenious setup for “rivals” to play against either using a deck of cards or an app. There is even a way to handicap the level of difficulty of the rivals. The fact that I haven’t taken the game off my kitchen table since I got it should tell you how enjoyable this has been. 3-4 Player: I can see this where the conflict portion of the game will be excellent for some photo finish endings. There are so many things that can turn the tide of the game quickly with intrigue cards & leader abilities that I know will make the replay ability for my group very high.
