> 3 dayI seem to collect movies on DVD form. Elf happens to be one of my all-time favorite classic movies it makes you happy, it has it’s very sad moments and it has a heroes ending. Will Ferrell does a magnificent job as elf and the rest of the cast are some of our best actors and actresses. I have my grandkids and great grandkids visit me and no matter what time of year it is Elf is always worth watching.

Greater than one weekThis was an innocent, fun and funny movie for our whole family! Everyone loved it from us (the mom and dad), to my 7 year old and my 4 year old. We have such a hard time finding movies that the adults enjoy as much as the kids. The adults end up falling asleep to a lot of kids movies, but not this one. Will Ferrell is super endearing and funny, there are a lot of silly laughs (including bathroom humor for my kids to crack up to), but grown-up to be entertaining for everyone. There is one scene where Will Ferrells character does get drunk, FYI. I was a little surprised that this was included, but my kids didnt get it. They just thought he was rolling around laughing and being silly. They dont say the word drunk, or even say they are drinking alcohol. He gets drunk on accident, and it is a short scene. Just wanted to warn parents about that so they could preview it to see if they are comfortable showing that to their kids. Aside from that, the movie just reinforces that Santa is real and that he relies on kids and adults to believe in him for the magic to work. There was a happy, positive message of the importance of kindness to all, and you are left on a really high note of love, belief in Santa, and magic at the end of the movie. This is a must holiday movie to watch again and again!
