I have a Trane heat pump, manufactured in 2008. Ive been having problems with the blower motor seemingly having a mind of its own, ie. turning off while the system is heating or cooling, causing indefinite running of the outdoor unit. To combat this, I set the blower to run continuous (ON position instead of AUTO) so that the system would never be running without the blower. This worked for a while, but not a very comfortable remedy since youre getting ambient temp air coming into the house between cycles. This is effectively air conditioning your house between cycles of heat during winter, and vice versa in summer. Eventually, this trick stopped working as sometimes the blower (in ON position) would still cut out, or sometimes not turn on at all. Replacing start run capacitors did nothing. Not being an HVAC tech, I started looking into getting a new unit, but then my dad recommended to try this relay first. It took me 2 minutes to swap it in and it FIXED the whole issue with my blower, just in time for an 18 degree night in Tennessee. Everything has been working perfectly since, and now I can move on to the next issue: finding a girlfriend.

Worked great to upgrade an older unit to this newer relay. Included diagrams for wiring conversion to new unit. A/C fan, both heat and cool, has been running randomly (80-90% on) for years. Works as it should with delay now.

Part was exactly what we needed and our air conditioner is running like new again because of it!

This Timer board worked perfect in my daughters Trane Air Handler. The fan motor wouldnt start and she had already called a HVAC company and was charged $200 to replace a $10 start capacitor which didnt fix it. If she had called them again Im sure it would have cost $250 or more (Thats $450 dollars for a job that should have cost less that $100 with labor). I changed this in about 10 minutes for only $21.99 and she was up and running. I only wish one day delivery was available on this item.

I suspected I had a bad relay when my blower fan would either shut off immediately after reaching the thermostat setpoint, or sometimes it would never shut off unless I opened the breaker. I verified that this relay was a replacement for the original in my 16 yr. old Trane unit. It was slightly different than the original, but the terminal designations made the swap simple. My unit now runs like its supposed to, at a fraction of the cost of having an AC company do the work.

This part fixed my AC that would not shut off - perfectly! So far the unit has been working perfectly all summer, so for the $20+ dollars invested, could not ask for anything more.

This is a good price on this board and Im not sure Ive been able to find a better price anywhere. I seem to go through one of these boards about every three years. Uncertain if my HVAC system is the cause, or if the reliability of this board is the issue. In any case, I keep a spare on hand now.

Looks different then the original but has all the same connection works great.

The Emerson 57T01-843 time delay relay is for designed for use in air handlers installed in compressor-run air conditioners and heat pump systems. This relay is used to delay the blower shut-off after the compressor shuts off. This relay can also be used to delay the blower shut-off in heating, depending on electrical hookup in a heat pump system.
