We love doing movie nights during the warmer months. We generally use the back of our shed because it is concrete and white. In the past we always borrowed one from a friend but felt it was time to get one of our own. Because its winter and the weather has been pretty crappy we decided to have an indoor movie night in our basement. It is large and open. It worked great for the picture and the sound but it is indoors and I think we have the projector closer than we normally would if we were outside . I will try to review again especially if we have any unseasonably warm days which isnt uncommon around here. But it seems like a great choice for the money.

PROS: + Good price points for the features + Very compact and portable + 720p native resolution (accepts 1080p) + Reasonably bright LED image for dark room viewing + Includes extra cables and IR remote + Manual focus and basic vertical keystone adjustment + Can be mounted with standard tripod screw + Fairly loud built-in mono speaker + Includes free projector screen CONS: - No horizontal lens adjustment - No zoom of any kind - No digital keystone correction - Mono speaker, not stereo - Not ideal for lit rooms - Fan is somewhat noisy - Text can look blurry/grainy, in particular toward edges - No Bluetooth audio support (only headphone jack) SETUP & UNBOXING In the box youve got the projector itself, a remote control (2x AAA batteries not included), RCA dongle, HDMI cable, cleaning swabs, a projector screen, and adhesive hooks for the screen. Setup is fairly straight forward as you simply plug in the included power supply, which does use a barrel power connector. I opted to use a Google Chromecast TV via the HDMI port and I was up and running right away. At least mostly. As with any projector, getting everything lined up, focused, and squared, takes the most time. The included remote duplicates the physical controls to power on/off, change between HDMI and A/V input, go to the set up menu, and volume control. Unfortunately the set up menu doesnt really have anything useful beyond perhaps adjusting the picture mode. Although I suspect thats all that most people will need. At least there are front and rear IR receivers for the remote. Hopefully in the future Emotn will also get added to the Google list of supported devices so you use a single remote. The only adjustments to help set up the project is the manual focus wheel and a lever on the side that adjusts vertical keystone by tilting the lens up and down. Its super basic with no other manual or digital controls available. PICTURE QUALITY This is a native 720p projector which is able to accept a 1080p signal. The LED bulb is limited to 100 lumens of max brightness. As such, you arent going to expect the best or brightness picture when these specs are a fraction of even a proper entry-level home theater projector. But thats not what this is, of course. Lowering the bar to the price point, and youve actually got a surprisingly acceptable picture. I did my test by projecting a 100 image to my Gray Silver ticket screen which is about 8 feet between screen and projector. The image was more than acceptable. Black levels were certainly more gray and the image doesnt exactly pop at that distance. And youll want most light controlled to avoid washing out the picture. But thats about as far back as I would go. If you can get closer to the screen, you get a smaller and brighter picture, of course. I played several demo clips to see how it looks and as noted, acceptable, is the best word to describe the quality. Youll see jaggies, text isnt super clear, and well, I could go on. Its a cheap projector. SOUND QUALITY There are two grills on the back where it looks like there should be stereo speakers, but only the right grill has a speaker. The left grill is just empty. I note this because the description says its stereo. Although to be fair, its not super important on something so small to begin with. The single speaker is surprisingly loud, able to fill a small to medium size room. I didnt say it sounded great, but for the intended use case, itll do just fine. For better sound, youll want to connect a better set of speakers to the included headphone jack. Unfortunately there is no Bluetooth speaker support. FREE SCREEN I did want to make a quick note on the included screen. Its just a white piece of reflective cloth tossed into a bag. Its more like a bed sheet, but the added reflective elements will benefit a project more than one might expected. More light reflecting back is good. It will be a bit wrinkly, which didnt seem to flatten out over time. But there are included plastic hooks with command adhesive type mounts on them. The bag says not to wash it, so better try to keep it clean. Either way, its free, and probably better than the wall. CONCLUSION The price point is going to be something you have to really keep in mind when reviewing a portable projector such as this. Naturally Im going to prefer my far nicer (and more expensive) Optoma UDH65 for any serious movie watching. But for something I can toss in the kids room or take on a trip to use in a hotel, this is going to work just fine. Just keep in mind that youll want to be able to block out as much light as you can, and dont get too carried away with the image size. Smaller is better. And if you can bring along a small tripod to get the picture lined up, you should be good to go.

This little projector works out perfect for my teen daughter! Instead of a tv we got her this and she liked even better So easy to use and image is bright, sound is good also

This projector is a mixed bag for me. I tested it out thoroughly, and this is what I found. What you need for it to work optimally: -a completely dark room; a little bit of light from outside will wash out the projection instantly -the ability to hang the projection screen up high if you want to watch anything at its largest size; if the projection is too low, the image wont come into focus correctly -the image throw distance is hit or miss; for the best focus, I wouldnt go past 7 feet, but that may be in your line of sight depending on where you like to sit PROS: -cost for quality -anything at 720p and lower that is live action (no CGI) or older hand drawn animation looks decent; essentially DVD quality will look fine -black and white films look good as long as youre ok with shallower blacks and slightly grayish whites (lower the color to 0 in the menu) -stretchy projector screen included with clips to be stuck to the wall -the internal menu (remote is necessary) has the ability to change picture features like color, contrast, zoom, and the like. You can flip the image depending on how you want to mount the projector (e.g. upside down). It has more customization than I would have thought -the internal speakers are better than what might be expected for projectors -the fan is quieter than larger projectors CONS: -the power cable is too short; youll need an extension cable most likely -the edges of the picture will be blurry at larger sizes; this is just a fact when dealing with low-cost projectors; they arent going to perform like more expensive name brand projectors due to the low quality lens inside the machine -adjusting the focus is a pain because its a manual wheel on the side thats stiff so if you apply too much pressure, the projector will move, and youll have to readjust it constantly -the tripod screw mount is too shallow, so when attached to a tripod, the projector lists from side to side -the projector screen isnt a real projector screen, so the light from the projection doesnt bounce back the way a better screen would; for all I know the projector is brighter than what I see, but the screen is a hindrance -fast motion is blurry no matter the resolution, so no gaming What this projector is: Its a projector for those people who want a projector for occasional use. If youre serious about projectors, move on to another brand with a superior lens. But it works right out of the box, and you can use it to distract your kids. Its the kind of projector you bring out, use for 1.5 hours, say, that was fun!, and then you put it away until next time you want to watch a cult classic with a group of friends for giggles.

The projection tends to be faded and the projector heats up very easily. Adjusting the projection can be difficult as the tilt and focus are in the same location, so it is very easy to change the tilt when trying to adjust the focus. The image itself is fairly faded, but that is normal for home projectors. The sound works fine even if not the best quality. I have to question the screen design for a portable projector as the holders for the screen seem more designed as a fixed screen attachment. The screen itself could be portable with spare holders/hooks for the screen.

This projector seems of good quality and the picture was typical decent quality, too, for a projector of this type and size. The interface with your electronics is typical of projectors, and the remote has useful but slightly confusing functions. The product is lightweight as it claims, and it has an attractive appearance, with white and rose-gold colors. The included screen is a fabric cloth with metal-reinforced grommets and it comes with hooks that can be applied and easily removed from the surface without damage afterward. The hooks can not be used twice unless you purchase new adhesive strips. If you have a lumpy or uneven surface behind the fabric screen, The sound is reasonable if you are near the projector, but if your group will be farther away, you may need an external speaker for the experience to be enjoyable. The unit I received seemed like it had been used, because the protective paper was off the lens, and there was dust on the lens, but everything operated as described. All in all, a fair value for a project that is portable (as long as you have access to power) with a screen (polyester sheet) that is lightweight and easy to transport and to use (as long as you have more adhesive strips for the hooks if you want to remove them and use them again).

Nothing fancy, super simple. Not the best of the best but it’ll do.

This is a really cool projector, that packs quite a punch for its size. It projects the video in 1080p, and doesnt have that fuzzy/grainy look that some other projectors around this size do. It also delivers decent audio as well, although not robust enough for home use without the aid of a sound system. I also feel that this product is portable in regards to its size and carry weight, than its utility outside of the home. It isnt battery operated (in part or whole), so bringing it outdoors to use might be a bit of a task. You case use it by way of a portable power bank, but it drains the power fairly quickly, so keep that in mind if taking outdoors. Overall, Im satisfied with this product, and would recommend as a gift, or to set up in the back yard on a nice summer night.

I am very impressed with this projector. Its a consumer grade product, so you probably wouldnt use it a corporate setting, but its good enough if you wanted to. It is bright, and runs at 1080p resolution. Connected seamlessly to my laptop and phone. You can run it from wall current, or through USB-C connector. It comes with AC wall plug and USB-C cable. I noticed it wasnt as bright when powered by USB, but it still had a really good picture. Projector also comes with a 100 screen, but I didnt use it. I projected on a wall that was 12 away and the picture was clear, except the corners, which would not focus. I think I exceeded the distance it was designed to operate. I am confident that if I used the screen and pulled the sides in a little, it would have been a sharp picture everywhere. I definitely recommend this projector!

Good value for the price. You definitely get what you pay for. But this projector works good enough for the occasional use. We had this for a camping trip to use outside. We had to wait until it was really dark for the image to be seen well. And higher resolution movies don’t show up as well. Also it would be better if the projection screen actually had a way to free stand it.
