Looks exactly like it did in the photos, run into that issue a few times with other themed mousepads. The light optic cable is nice and clear, lets a good amount of light escape!

When I first bought it that pad it was wavy, I figured it would decrease over time. After 2 months it hasnt. I have tried everything to get it to lay flat and nothing has worked. It looks cool but would not recommend.
