> 3 dayEnjoyed this keyboard for a good 8 months. Suddenly its acting erratically despite all buttons working. Checked firmware was up to date, reinstalled from AKKOs website despite it was reported up to date. It worked for a week but now is repeating to lock my caps button and acts like the left ctrl key is being pressed making it frustrating.

Greater than one weekThe keyboard is sick and value for money dont get me wrong. Only issue I have is that the h switch didnt consistently work. Wasnt to worried since you can just swap the switch out for a key you dont use. Other than that the keyboard wouldve been a 5 star for sure.

21-11-2024I am lost for words! After a week of using this keyboard and with no issues with it at all, this is the best budget mechanical keyboard for only 90 bucks. This is my first time using tactile switches (Akkos Jelly Purple switches) and at first, they were a little weird with the bumps but, Ive gotten used to it since Im more comfortable using linear switches. The keycaps are especially great. The stabilizers sound superb since they are factory lubed but, Im not sure if the switches are factory lubed as well. Either way, the whole keyboard sounds clacky/thoccy with the help of the foam between the PCB, the plate, and in the case. There is RGB to this keyboard but the keycaps are not that great with the colors so for me, I would definitely turn it off until you get shine through keycaps (If you want). The keyboard also comes with a detachable USB-C, a dongle for the 2.4Ghz Bluetooth, and works for both Mac and Windows. This is a must buy!

18-11-2024Pros: - tri mode/knob - gasket mount and comes with pre-installed foams - plastic case with nice aluminum look (mine has issues, see comments below) - plate mounted stabs are tight and decent but definitely needs work - switches (budgerigar) are ok, not great, needs to relube for consistency Cons: - keycaps (i understand that this is prebuilt but im not a big fan of OEM profile) - steel plate (this should have come in with PC plate, hello GMK67) - software (just a generic china rehash and im unable to remap knob behavior as of current version) The EK68 and GMK67 (both budget v65s as I call them) were just recently making the waves and piqued my interest. Unfortunately, the GMK67 was not available yet locally, and Amazon had very good deals and free shipping during the holidays. I already purchased a v65 from a local shop 2 months before the holidays and was looking for a new wireless 65% layout which I can bring to the office since the v65 is quite heavy - i finally copped up the EK68. Shipping was great, arrived earlier than the expected date considering it was overseas and during the holidays. Wireless functionality of the board is excellent - never had any issues with 2.4g during gaming and battery health lasts for a couple days as well. I would wish they can update the firmware to remap the knob, since I map it to screen capture instead of mute. Everything was fine until I noticed major aesthetic flaws with my unit. My board has a slight warp on the bottom part of the case causing the bottom center part to almost hit the surface (see 3rd pic). It also has some slight case scratch/blemishes on the part below the Win key and the arrows. It may not be visible right away but when theres a decent amount of light reflecting on those parts, you will notice it. I reached out to Epomaker support and was offered a 10% discount. Returning the board is kind of a hassle on my part, and shipping it back means added expense, so I had to accept the discount. This is my first keyboard from Epomaker and I would say it was generally a good buy and experience, but definitely could have been better. Ive heard about their rebranding issues but still gave this company a try. Final thoughts: The EK68 is a decent budget 65% prebuilt board that wont break the bank. If youre looking for barebones though, Id suggest the GMK67 if you have access to buy it. Its much cheaper and comes with a PC plate. If youre looking for budget wireless aluminum, the v65 r2 is already available.

> 3 dayI absolutely loved the way the keyboard turned out. The space bar shows a tiny volcano which nicely contrast with the pink keys. As for function it works perfectly for what I need since I wanted a gaming keyboard that was Bluetooth but still had the arrow pads since some of the other keyboards I was looking at didnt have those. Its easy to connect and I love using it.

> 3 day[03/17 - 2 stars] I’m a newbie to mechanical keyboards so I was researching for the right affordable beginner keyboard and this came up. First and foremost this is a really nice keyboard and I think it looks a lot better than the Royal Kludge. This is great for the price with everything they provide. The biggest issue that I believe shouldn’t happen is that the keys are wrong. Shift 7 gives me ‘, shift 6 gives me &, shift 2 gives me “”, shift 8 gives me (, shift 0 gives me 0, shift “ gives me *, need I say more? This doesn’t seem to be a common reoccurrence with all the amazing reviews, but then again I’m not sure how many people have it connected to MacOS. Others on reddit seem to have the same issue but have yet to find a solution. I hope to change my review once there’s a solution. [03/18 - 1 star] I was given a response that the keys work fine with Windows, and that the key combinations are specifically applicable to Windows system.. But I dont understand how the that has to do with the defective keys giving the wrong symbols when you press shift+#. I just dont think this should be an option for users who have a Mac desktop and would like to use a mechanical keyboard with it. The response definitely did not answer the actual concern and gaslit that it should be fine with a Windows system instead. Why bother have it be an option for OSX if they keys supposedly only work with Windows. Really disappointed about it since the keys and the way it types feels amazing.
