> 24 hourThis is a wonderful projector. Pros: --1080p HD . . . the projected picture from my non-retina macbook air was so much better than what Im used to seeing on my laptop . . . it had an air of unreality to it because it was so hi-def --LCD means no rainbows --Easy to set up each time with a very easy-to-adjust front leg & two adjustable back legs --Has a sliding lens cover built in for protection --Plug-ins all in the back and their placement makes sense --Plenty of settings to make any viewing situation work (including in room flooded with daylight--not ideal, but we were able to do it) Cons: --Possibly the cost. If you dont see or arent bothered by rainbows, then this is probably a bit much to pay. The Acer H5380BD (a DLP projector with 720p) is a bargain and I would have kept it had the rainbow effect not been such a problem. --Not quite as portable as Id like and didnt come with a carrying case (like the Acer did) . . . but this is a much better projector.

> 24 hourWith this purchase, one thing I have learnt is to always purchase products from trusted brands. My new Epson Home Cinema LCD projector is an amazing device, perfect for my basement home theater. The picture quality is impeccable, 35000:1 contrast ratio provides a very good rendition of black levels. 2200 lumens is just enough for my needs. Could not have found a better projector at this price. I am extremely happy with this purchase. The Good: Image quality, color rendition, brightness levels are perfect. 35000:1 contrast ratio Decent inbuilt speakers. Quieter than many other projectors I have seen 2 HDMI ports Light and Small Simple IR Remote The Bad: (which is not so bad) No optical audio port slight vibration (which is probably a normal characteristic of projectors, but I have seen Epsons that just do not vibrate - of course they are in a higher price band) All in all I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking to buy an inexpensive projector for their home theater. Good buy! Tip: Wait for a Thanksgiving deal to buy this item, I bought mine for $499

> 24 hourBest projector for the price right now. I like it better than the BenQ I recently owned (1075) in 9 out of 10 scenarios (brightness, latency/gaming, frame interpolation, lamp cost, menu options, contrast, no rainbow effect, cost, image enhancement, lamp life). The only thing it doesnt appear to do quite as well is black levels. But I doubt most people would be able to pick out the difference. And theyll definitely notice the speed, brightness, and frame interpolation if they watch sports, or dont have a dark room. And the fact that they were the first to move many high end features from much more expensive projectors down into this price range is commendable. If this had a motorized lens, with lens memory, I could sell dozens of these to folks looking to replace their aging home theater projectors. Epson did a really nice job with this one.

> 24 hourI have spent much more on projectors, but this is my favorite so far. The picture quality in a light controlled room is excellent, and the picture quality in a room with moderate ambient light is fine. I love that replacement bulbs are easily acquired for under $100. My past projectors required builds over $300. At the price of bulbs for this projectors, its easy to update when the picture dims, rather than dealing with a faded picture and waiting for the bulb to pop. I was looking for a budget projector. I wanted a good movie watching experience. I have all that and more and I am well pleased. There are projectors in this price range with better contrast ratio. Contrast ratio is important. I may well like those projectors better if I tried one. I chose this one because of the cost replacement bulbs. I was not concerned with having the best and newest. That can get expensive. I wanted a great movie watching experience for an affordable price.

> 24 hourFirst protector purchased for the new man cave. Wanted to wait a couple months before posting. Everything I could of asked for. Getting about a 120 inch image from 11.5 feet out. Image is clean and sharp, however Im certainly no image addiciando. I can control lighting in the cave, so I run this thing in eco mode which is virtually silent, however even when run in normal mode it is not as loud as some other reviewers have complained about, especially if you have a 5.1 system running which is mandatory with any projector set up. Hooked up the Xbox One and it takes video gaming to an all new level, no lag detected. For the price this thing is all you need for home media system.

> 24 hourI purchased this unit as a replacement for a Benq W1070 DLP projector. I had read many great things about Epson projectors, and hoped to enjoy this one as much as I did my last projector. Unfortunately it turns out that the LCD technology that this projector and other like it use, just isnt for me. it is not inherently BAD, but the black levels are simply nothing close to what they are on a DLP projector. All of the color contrast in the world simply doesnt make up for the fact that this projector can only produce a dark gray on its best day. That being said, I am sure that there are plenty of happy owners out there, this one just wasnt for me. Pros: -Easy installation -Fast startup and shutdown -Able to be used in rooms with ambient light -Cheap replacement bulbs Cons: -Poor black levels -Heavy pixelation compared to DLP at same seating/throw distance -Image dimming effect based on amount of white/ black on screen Bottom Line: Make your own judgment, but if you want a Movie Theater Quality projector experience, stick with DLP.

> 24 hourItem arrived earlier this evening and I instantly set it up and tested a couple of blu ray DVDs in my collection from Avatar to MI:Ghost Protocol to Game of Thrones to Man of Steel and lastly, settling with Inside Out (my daughter and son requested for them to see it again) and instantly, my family enjoyed it out of the box! The picture was so clear although I was playing a bit in its initial setup with keystoning but I didnt need to as the throw was just about right. We couldnt be any happier with our purchase and as 1st time home theater owners, wed be looking forward to spending time in the theater room more often, probably re-watching some favorite blu ray titles we have in our decent collection. Id recommend this for 1st time or even experienced owners.

> 24 hourI have been using projectors for my home cinema for 16 years on a white wall. People have always been impressed by the size of the picture, but didnt comment much about the quality. This projector has a picture quality that is so bright and detailed that nobody believes its coming from a projector. This is an amazing projector for this price. I have a 110in picture at 13ft away hung from a ceiling mount. If your on a budget like I am, you cant go wrong with this projector. The bulb that comes with this projector is impossible to find. Replacements range in price from $25 to just over $100 and could not fine the exact same one it came with, makes it impossible to duplicate after the bulb goes out. So enjoy it out of the box because youll never repeat it as Epson does not sell a original replacement.

> 24 hourThis is my first projector so I dont really have anything to compare it to, but Im very happy with it. I have it about 17 feet from the screen, which is about 6 X 11, and it produces a really good high def picture. I had my doubts about the vid quality at that size, but its really as good as what you give it. A blu ray or a good 1080p signal reproduces flawlessly. The fan is a bit noisy in the high mode, but I dont notice it when a show is playing. Some people have said they watch in economy mode, which is quieter, but thats not bright enough for me which brings me to the only complaint I might have. Sometimes I think the picture could be a little brighter. It could just be my screen, its a painted white wall, but I did do some research and painted it with something that is supposed to produce very good results. Its not a big deal and its only in certain scenes. The internal speaker is pretty cheesy sounding, but I Bluetooth the audio to my sound bar and its awesome. I think for the price, this projector is really good.

> 24 hourAbsolutely wonderful projector! I bought this for my basement cinema. Pros: - Super clear picture for Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and the TV receiver box for antenna stations. - Fan is relatively quiet. I sit right below it and dont notice it when watching a show - Vivid and true colors - Easy to mount to ceiling when you buy a universal mount - Very easy to set up - Looks great even when projecting directly onto a wall. I havent put our screen up yet, and just have it aimed at a muted green wall. - Great picture even with lights on. Our basement has two lighting areas. I usually watch it with the back area lit and the picture is still very bright and clear. Cons: - I bought a Harmony 350 universal remote. It can turn the projector on, but it cant shut it off for some reason.
