ESAB Halo Sentinel A50 Automatic Welding Helmet 0700000800 with Free Accessories

Love the helmet but the head harness has a major flaw. The pop nut adjustment knob keeps popping off, I just lived with it until I had to send it back in for repair, the auto-dark lens failed. This was cover by warranty. I had mention the weak design and they also replaced the harness which was nice. I get it back, happy so I thought. Knowing of the weak design I was careful not to over stress the tightener, but after using it no more than 12 times, the damn press-on nut popped off again, it is now lost on my shop floor.. I contacted the manufacture and they want one to buy the entire head harness, for a 25cent pressed on nut. I even mention I would buy 6-12 of the nut, given they pop off so easy, I get no response. You that buy this helmet, one will have to be very carful, might be best to pop it off and super glue it back into place. As for me I will have to figure out to fix mine, NO way in hell I am going to buy a new harness for a 25 cent part. Once this helmet is no longer useable, will surely buy something else.

Lense is extremely clear, and is the most comfortable hood Ive ever worn. Just beware the lense covers are about 10 bucks to replace so using it for anything outside of a tig weld can get pricey especially overhead welds. Not worth the 400 dollar price tag in my opinion, but is a very good hood none the less.

NICE HELMET WHEN IT HAS NEW BATTERYS BUT IT DOES NOT STAY CHARGED. WILL NOT BUY AGAIN.

Finally I can see my mig weld bead due to lighter dark setting that cheaper helmets dont have.

Helmet is great. Clear vision of the welds, spacious for a big head. Only problem is mine didnt come with the free accessories, took a while to get customer service to get it sent to me. But they did sent it after a few problems with shipping.

I am a Journeyman Millwright who does a fair amount of welding both in the shop as well as in the field. This is an awesome welding rig! The flip from grind to weld button is very convenient. The view is phenomenal while welding. Light enough you dont feel the shield pulling your headgear forward, durable enough for day in day out welding in a foundry environment. I highly recommend this welding helmet to anyone serious about welding. From my apprenticeship through my career in the field, by far the best rig Ive ever used!
