This compact and lightweight umbrella folds small enough to fit in the side pocket of my backpack, but is full-size when opened. The handle is the right thickness so it is comfortable to hold. It opens fully with one push of a button. The ribs are reinforced to protect against damage by high winds, and the nylon canopy feels thicker than most. It offers UV protection, which has the added benefit of making it cooler. It closes a little differently than other umbrellas. With one push of the button, the canopy collapses. Then you have to push the shaft in toward the base to fully close it. As you push the shaft, you can hear a ratcheting mechanism that keeps it from springing back open. When you hear a final click, it is closed all the way. Overall, I think this is a very functional and durable umbrella for the price.

Nice quality umbrella. Its compact, so it does not take up a ton of space. Easy to throw in my purse or glove box of my car. It pops open easily and works well in the rain without any issues.

High Quality and stylish umbrella. compact and small. protects well from the rain or sun. hasnt flipped inside out in the wind or anything and i think the material is resistant to staining if you opt for white and are worried about that

This is a decent easy to use umbrella, but the binding strap should be a little longer and the storage bag needs to be bigger as trying to get it back into the bag is nearly impossible - I dont even try it after trying the first time.

It is a nice color umbrella with a good size. It is thick and easy to open with an auto open function. However, it is difficult to pull it back fully.

I will be honest -- I did not order this umbrella for its functionality or compact design. I ordered it because it was a beautiful lavender with black underside. Purely aesthetic and shallow; I know. And the color was everything I hoped it would be. With that said, though, I was actually pleased with the design when received. It opened and closed nicely. It was compact enough but not too small that it isnt fully functional. Aside from the color, I am really pleased with the dark underside. I find myself outdoors at youth sport events often and often need an umbrella for protection from the sun. Sometimes a golf umbrella is just more than I want to carry, so I prefer a smaller umbrella to navigate. This has become my favorite umbrella for sunny days because the dark underside creates some strong shade that lighter colored umbrellas dont offer.

This solar umbrella by ESUFEIR is about 12 long. To me this is an average size umbrella. Not very compact for travel if space is limited but still small enough to fit in a backpack. The beige color I selected is true to the product images. Very neutral. The button is used to pop it open completely. You can push it up more once open but there is no locking mechanism that latches...it stays in the complete open position once the button is pressed. If you push the button again, the umbrella closes up and you need to manually push it down the post to lock it but it is not a struggle to do so like with some other umbrellas. This would be good for the elderly or people who have arthritis. I did found that if you want to put this back in its storage pouch, you will need to work diligently to maintain the original folds of the flaps, otherwise, it is not compact enough to fit the pouch. Im not a fan of these pouches anyway, so not a big deal for me. This will be going on an international trip to the Philippines during monsoon season this summer so I can expect both high temperatures and rain. This solar umbrella will meet my needs of both sun and rain protection. There is a chemical odor when it first arrived so I will be airing this out in my garage for a few days to get rid of that toxic odor. Overall for about $16 at time of purchase, this automatic open/close solar and rain umbrella is a great deal.

This is a nice, smallish umbrella. It isn’t quite as light as the truly lightweight types, and the handle makes it a bit long to tuck into a small bag. The outer cover isn’t easy to slip on so may not get used. Has a very strong chemical scent out of the package but that should dissipate with time. Easy to open and close with the press of a button, good size for keeping the rain off, and solid enough not to blow away in a gust of wind.

It is good and durable. Earlier I was skeptical to buy this product with cream color but has turned out to be a good purchase.

This is a lightweight, small umbrella in a cute pretty pale pink color. There is an auto open and close button that works well. The lower part of the shaft of the umbrella is a little wobbly when fully opened. The velcro strap needs to be a little longer - I have to pull it really tight to get it to fasten and I am afraid all that tugging is going to break the strap. It is quite difficult to get the umbrella back into the cover as well - very tight fit. This will be a great little umbrella to keep in the car. Overall, a good value for the price; recommend.
