> 24 hourI purchased several single same-size hooks of different brands to see which worked best for me. The single one of these red Etimo hooks quickly became my fav. I wanted them all! By purchasing the set without the scissors (I have beautiful pairs of small scissors that go well with the set) I brought down the cost of the set. I am very pleased with this set. Since purchasing this set, curiosity got to me and I purchased (on sale) a single Furls Odyssey hook in my fav size. I have used it numerous times but always wind up putting it down for my Etimo red.

> 24 hourThese hooks are great, and have a really thoughtful design. Red shafts are easy to see, and the grip is comfy and not too large. The head is slightly pointed and tapered, and the throat is generous enough for any yarn, even doubled ones. I hold the hooks lightly, like I was trained to hold a pencil or paintbrush, and the balance on these is perfect for me. A well-designed hook can make all the difference between trying crochet and abandoning it, and frequent crocheting, experimenting, and creating. If you have tried to crochet and didn’t like it (like I did), don’t blame yourself because it could be the hooks. These are also sold as singles so you can give them a try before you commit to a full set.

> 24 hourAs a beginner I have started with a set of no brand (who haven’t ;) and tried a few other brands. Was hesitating on this set for a few days because of the price. I am glad I made the right decision this time. The hooks are not only pretty, they make crocheting like heaven! Very easy to hold and smooth. Trust me, you will never regret on these.

> 24 hourAbsolutely love my Tulip hooks and Etimo Red is no exception. A note about whats included in the case: scissors are not included. The little tag attached to the hook roughly translates to Please use the scissors you have. The tag is to indicate what the hook is for. (Incidentally, the hook is also a handy removable stitch marker in case you need an extra!) Two tapestry needles ARE included - they are in a paper packet tucked behind the storage box holding the majority of the hooks. Keep an eye out for them as theyre easy to miss. Of everything in the set - case, two tapestry/yarn needles, 8 hooks from sizes 1.80mm to 5.0mm, and a ruler - the only item thats just meh is the ruler. I much prefer my gauge rulers from Clover or CocoKnits, but were not purchasing this set for the ruler. The hooks themselves are stunning in person, comfortable to hold with the standard Tulip ergonomic handle (comparable to Clover, less bulky than Susan Bates IMO), and glides through a variety of yarn textures and weights. I use a knife hold and find all of my Tulip grip handles to be comfortable. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourWas debating whether to purchase because of the price- but glad I did! Ergonomic, lightweight, slides through yarn (wool) like butter. Highly recommend for those with joint pain.
