This is a copy of the original Tulip grey hooks. The ergonomic section is hard and the needle length is shorter than the original.

I have been trying this set and Clover set for 2 months both at the same time (2 projects). I honestly cannot tell the difference in use, ergonomics, sizing. The only difference is that this set is twice the price! These are beautiful hooks. The cloth holder (very small) and 2 darning needles are nothing extraordinary.

These are the most comfortable crochet hooks I’ve had, along side the clover Armour. So easy to use, and had a size 3, which is hard to find! Cute roll up case too. Love it!

Absolutely love my Tulip hooks and Etimo Red is no exception. A note about whats included in the case: scissors are not included. The little tag attached to the hook roughly translates to Please use the scissors you have. The tag is to indicate what the hook is for. (Incidentally, the hook is also a handy removable stitch marker in case you need an extra!) Two tapestry needles ARE included - they are in a paper packet tucked behind the storage box holding the majority of the hooks. Keep an eye out for them as theyre easy to miss. Of everything in the set - case, two tapestry/yarn needles, 8 hooks from sizes 1.80mm to 5.0mm, and a ruler - the only item thats just meh is the ruler. I much prefer my gauge rulers from Clover or CocoKnits, but were not purchasing this set for the ruler. The hooks themselves are stunning in person, comfortable to hold with the standard Tulip ergonomic handle (comparable to Clover, less bulky than Susan Bates IMO), and glides through a variety of yarn textures and weights. I use a knife hold and find all of my Tulip grip handles to be comfortable. Highly recommended.

Get them. If you crochet, you want these. I have to admit I’ve been eyeing this set for a while now. I’m very happy to finally own them. They’re comfortable to hold, not very heavy/not too bulky, and the holder/case is lovely. If you’re using regular hooks and are noticing pain as you crochet I highly recommend this set as a replacement.

I love the hooks!!!! They are the best, super comfortable, lightweight and smooth to touch and to crochet with! I have the gray set too, just need it the new red one too, however I did not like the case! The case sucks!

I’ve used plenty of hooks, as a beginner I tried a bunch. I’ve tried all the hooks that they sell at hobby lobby, Michael’s, and Joanne’s. I’ve tried random sets from Amazon. I have to say, it’s worth it to splurge the $85 on this set. It’s made in Japan, the metal is SO smooth compared to the hundreds of other hooks I’ve tried. The shiny metal ones just aren’t cutting it. The coating on this metal is somewhat matte, and they just GLIDE across yarn so easy. Not to mention the shape of these hooks are PHENOMENAL. The tip is pointed enough to get in between tight stitches, and the hook’s curve is curved enough to hold the yarn, but rounded enough to release it. It’s the perfect combination. Not to mention the case is ADORABLE and the red color you just don’t see very often and it’s beautiful. These hooks are great, just buy them if you’re on the fence.

These hooks are pretty. However, they are different other than color from the Etimo Gold or Rose. They are lighter weight and the ergonomic handle is not as smooth feeling, very slightly rougher. The red hook is a matte finish which can be good for those that crochet loose. The set does include smaller sizes which is a plus, and other sizes can be purchased/added separately. IMO, it might be better to purchase one hook in a size you might use for specific projects, or an often used size, before buying the set, to try out and see if you like the feel of these hooks. I did not like the lighter weight feel compared to my Etimo Gold (hooks also more of a matte finish). Recommend these hooks but with the awareness of the stated differences.
