EverDrive GBA Mini

love this system- easy to use and customize! having minor issues with certain gb games not recognizing link connection (using 2 SP’s) where it works with original carts.

I bought from Amazon instead of the official store because the official website ships from Ukraine, and would take 30-45 days. Instead, this costs about $15 more, and it shipped from US. It appears to be an official Everdrive X5 Mini from the original Everdrive Maker, Krikzz, so I feel confident most of my dollars went to him (deservedly so). The build quality is great. The micro SD card slot has that handy spring-loaded push-lock mechanism to keep the card flush and locked into the cartridge. Ive had it for a few days so far and am pleased with the purchase. Definitely worth the upcharge to avoid that crazy long shipping time. Thanks for this awesome convenience!

Bought this to play my collection on without having to switch cartridges and many of the batteries in the originals are no longer working. GBA worked after installing the OS from the krikzz website. Gameboy and GBC took a little work. Had to install 2 separate copies of goomba color to the gbasys/emu folder. Renamed the first gb.gba and the second gbc.gba and it works perfectly. Took me the better part of 2 hours to figure that last part out

Overall I like this flash cart its extremely well made from the circuit board to the quality plastic housing it fits perfect in a GBA or GB SP device its fairly easy to use for whatever reason I dont find it as intuitive as other flash carts I have used and price wise its twice the cost of comparable devices. Plus it would have been nice if it would have came optional housing that would allow to set flush as some of its competitors. I am impressed with its low power consumption for longer gaming sessions which is great compared to others.

Works as advertised. Anything everdrive is nothing short of great quality. For those confused between this and the x5 mini, this is exactly the x5 mini but krikzz decided to just name it the mini as only the minis are x5 anyway.

If you are a retro games collector like myself you will very much enjoy this product :) It saves me the trouble of changing games and the possibility of breaking my more pricey games. Everything is very clear and easy to setup/maintain. Havent had an issue with it since I purchased.

Some everdrive minis were giving red screens during boot like 2 or 3 years ago due to bad solder joints, and the one I got in march 2023 was somehow one of those. According to all the forum and reddit posts it is a manufacturers defect that was supposedly corrected, but whatever seller is shipping these out is still using the broken ones occasionally (or always?) My everdrive doesnt boot in a GBA, SP, or GB player on my gamecube. It will boot to a red screen even without an SD card

It was easy to set up. Basically plug n play. The only bummer was that my Pokémon Crystal rom dump ran with graphic glitches in Goomba. Hopefully an update fixes the issue it has with some games.

I got this after being impressed with the GB X5 for my Game Boy Color. Its great, it runs everything from GBA games down to GB Color and original Game Boy games, and even has options for emulators for the Sega Master System and Game Gear, which also work. It takes some time to set up and instructions for doing so, especially for the emulators are hard to find online and arent always right, but once you figure it out its fine. For instance, the video I watched had you download the original version of Goomba for the old Game Boy. Dont do this, saving will not work. Instead, duplicate the file for Goomba COLOR and name one gb.gba and the other gbc.gba. The UI is pretty intuitive and you can sort your games however you want. Absolutely worth it for extending the life of your GBA. Ive tested it in my original GBA, my GBA SP and my DS Lite.

Works out quite well to play multiple titles without bringing all my carts
