> 3 dayI bought this pack 3 years ago and it has become my go-to bag for shorter hikes. With both the water bladder and water bottle pockets, I can change up configurations. If I want to have room for a lunch/snack or lightweight jacket, I toss water bottles in the pockets and dont use the reservoir. The bottle holders are just deep enough that the pull cord snugs up well around a standard bike water bottle (you wont fit wider bottles). If its a really hot day, I can use both the reservoir and bottle pockets. I can fit my necessities...sunglasses, small bottle of sunscreen, some snacks, keys and ID/credit cards, lip balm, and most importantly, my phone and inhaler. When I bought it, the front pocket fit the phone I had at the time. Its a tight fit now with a larger phone. The velcro plus buckle strap is very secure. Im a plus size person, and wear it at pretty much the full extent of the straps (check the sizing if youre a larger waist), but its still secure...and provides light lumbar support. I do most of my sweating along my upper back, so was struggling with backpack style hydration packs, plus a lot of those dont have good hip support, adding weight on my shoulders. Moving everything to my hips is much more comfortable for me, and I feel more balanced when I need to lean down or scrabble up a slope. After 3 years of frequent use, it shows no signs of damage/wear other than needing to replace the water tube (they all need regular cleaning/replacement). My only cons on this pack are the magnetic tube holder...its a weak magnet and I knocked the tube off constantly just brushing against it. I swapped it with a clip holder. I also wish the mouthpiece had a cover on it to keep dirt out. This seems like an uncommon feature for some reason. Lastly, the front pocket zipper only zips up the sides, then a flap across the top uses velcro. This always feels a little insecure. Id prefer a zipper all the way around. None of these are dealbreakers, but keep it from a full 5-star rating (Id say its more of a 4.5...being my most-used hydration pack really says a lot).

> 3 dayThis pack is great. Its very confy and fits nice. The elastic band is a big plus rather than just a clip on. The baldder is great and has a quick connect hose which in my opinion is a must for any pack. I knocked one star off for the sole reason that the phone pockets suck. We live in 2021, most people carry decent sized phones and with this pack you will just stuff it somewhere, not in a dedicated pocket. I have a 12 max and i can squeeze it tightly into the hip pockets, but not in the dedicated valuable pocket (which maybe can hold a credit card or some cash but not much else.) other than that its a win for me. I looked and tried several hip packs and this one was above the rest in features with the bladder, pockets for water bottles/bars, and storage. It made the best of all worlds.

> 3 dayWater hose is two short. Have to off center the bag or put chin to chest to reach it at 5’11. Clip that holds the magnetic hose is too easily removed when getting hose for a drink. Maybe a more permanent method of stabilizing it. I have a smaller fox bag but this is my choice for long rides with more capabilities for tools, energy and water.

> 3 dayI wear the Evoc Hydration Hip Pack when I’m mountain biking in New York. It fits so much better than a traditional backpack and I can carry essential tools, a few power bars, my phone and water. A backpack will still be needed sometimes but I’m finding that going minimalist has its merits. There are also two outside pockets to hold drink bottles on longer rides. The pockets secure the bottles with no worries of them falling out. Evoc incorporated an innovative feature that temporarily loosens or tightens the waist on climbs and descents. I can also clip a taillight to the back loop when I’m night riding. After using this pack for a couple of months I can attest that the construction is virtually bulletproof. It’s so creatively designed that I’m constantly finding different ways of using this pack. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. It is that good!

> 3 dayThe bag looks nice, it is thoughtfully designed overall, and looks/feels like it will probably last a long time. The clip that holds the magnet is pretty useless. It likes to fall off at the wrong moment and try to get lost. This can be easily remedied with a ziptie, but for something so simple it feels like a huge oversight in the product design. This bag is HUGE. It might as well be a backpack but without the comfort and support of a backpack. If you fill up the bladder the bag is this giant uncomfortable lump pressing into your lower back. If you take the bladder out it is a lot better but then you are back to water bottles. I happen to like my water bottles so Im not totally put off by this concept. This bag is made for giants. At 6 and 170lbs and a 31/32 waist I have twice as much belt and strap as I need. It makes the whole thing feel clumsy. the little side pockets on the belt wind up wrapping around to the front of my stomach. Im going to try it again before I pass final judgement, but Im probably going to return it and try to find an alternative that is designed for normal people that arent plus sized.

> 3 dayThe pack fits well and stays cool. I opted for removing the bladder for more storage space. There is a major design flaw with the nylon strap that connects the two zippers on the rear compartment. When mounting the bike from a straddle or under aggressive riding conditions, the strap can (and does) catch on the front of the saddle preventing you from remounting the saddle. In the process, the strap causes the zippers to unzip, dumping your stuff on the trail. This happened to me at least three times before I figured out what was keeping me out of my seat and unzipping my pack. There is no purpose for this strap. BUY THIS PACK, BUT DO THIS ONCE YOU DECIDE YOURE NOT GOING TO RETURN IT: Simply cut off this stupid strap, problem solved. Ive notified the manufacturer about this issue as well.

> 3 dayAbsolutely love this bag. Plenty of room for tools, patch kit, CO2, snacks and additional room for water bottles for big rides. It provides back support as well which helps on long grueling climbs. The hip pockets are large enough to fit my Galaxy S9+. Highly recommend this bag.

> 3 dayIf you bike with a backpack this will free you of shoulder sweat and lighten the load. I also felt like the center of weight was much lower and centered over the back tire, where it should be. I absolutely love this bikepack. The design is outstanding and I forget I am even wearing it because it is very comfortable. Holds everything you need. So happy I went this route. I wont ever do a hydration backpack again.
