> 3 dayI have been purchasing several different brands of Par38 over the years as the LED technology evolved. I was not happy with all of them. The cheaper plastic bulbs are OK for some applications, but I really like these glass commercial quality bulbs. They are bright enough (a little less than 1400 lumens) and right on target with the 5000K spectrum. They are my new goto option for Par38, and I am just going to stop using the cheaper lights. I guess Commercial is the new Residential, if you want the quality and glass envelope.

> 3 dayMy apartment came with 75W incandescents. Its not a great look - the bulbs are ugly. As they expired, I replaced them with 90W halogens. Much nicer bulbs. They lasted pretty good too - a couple of years of 7 hours a day. Later I found first gen 100W CFLs (23W). These are rated at 1300 lumens and give out a very good light and are a genuine PAR38. The bulbs themselves are a bit ugly - you can see the CFL inside and the base is thin rounded glass. But once they are on you cant see the bulb in any case. They take a minute or so to warm up which is a minor annoyance. Next, I found a CFL made of thick glass - like a halogen - a more attractive bulb, but with pretty much the same characteristics. When these became unavailable - at least at a decent price - I tried out LEDs. These were all plastic units. They were 3000K, which was too white for me, so I used them for my garage motion lights and returned the rest. Later, they did them in 2700K and I got some more. Supposedly 1200 lumens (15W), but more like 1000 IMO and not a true PAR38 either. Perfectly serviceable but not great. These ones are an all glass construction (like halogens) and rated at 1300 lumens (14W). I love the look of these bulbs, the light is great, the color seems right, it appears to be a true PAR38. These will be my go-to bulbs from now on...until they disappear as these things tend to.

> 3 dayBought the 6-Pack of these Full-Glass PAR38 14 Watt LED Bulbs, 4100K, to go in our two motion detector lights in the backyard. They replaced some 120 Watt Halogen bulbs that have given great service over the years. First impression was they are heavyweight bulbs; all glass as described. They are a bit brighter and have a wider beam spread than the 120 Watt Halogen floodlights they replaced. Its now like the yard is just completely lit up by some unseen light source rather than two beams of light gradually spreading out. Of course the 4100K temperature helps, but we can see so much better with these LED bulbs. They truly met the 120 Watt Replacement that they advertise. So we went from 240 Watts to 28 Watts and have much better lighting. If they last as long as advertised then it was a wise decision on my part. Time will tell.

21-11-2024Bright and quality made product with a good price for outdoor 120 watt equivalent LED lights. I have ordered a second set of 6 to have on hand so I have them when needed to use in my outside spotlights/security lights and other appropriate applications.
