Family Tree Explorer 9 - Genealogy software - compatible with the international GEDCOM format - compatible with Win 10, 8.1, 7

I had a Family Tree Explorer 9 on my old computer. I did not have the disk to put on my new computer. I saved the files, but It did not transfer. disappointed. I spent months on the information and now I cant access it.

Dose not work it is JUNK

On page 18 we find out that the data has to be entered in a specific way, rather than just enter data for persons if the data is entered befoe the family is set up it cannot be manipulated to set up a family tree because the sosa number cannot be overwritten, also do not seem able to remove the data and start again

It’s a little hard for me to use, I have trouble finding where things are at. Not saying the program is not good, just not for me, I couldn’t get my Ancestry program to load on the program I got on my computer.

When I ordered this product, I thought I was ordering a Family Tree Maker product. Nearly the same name, same coloring, a tree-like drawing on the outside, but my mistake, not looking further. I returned it without using it as I discovered it was wrong after receiving it. I printed out the return label, took it to a UPS store as directed and have heard nothing since. I guess I just eat the $27.00+. Not happy as it was a gift from my daughter.

Bought as a gift for my father in law and he loves it

This may be a good piece of software, but you wont get a recommendation from me. There are absolutely no instructions to get started and what there is, is confusing. I am returning this to Amazon.

Is way more comprehensive and detailed than what I wanted or need.

The seller states it can hold unlimited amount of people and it could hold 17 generations, but what they are NOT telling you is you can only VIEW your direct ancestors, only your grandparents. You can NOT see siblings, their spouses, their children, cousins, aunts, uncles etc. The only way to see them is to UPGRADE to Premium or buy Family Tree 10 Premium. This is false advertising as to what this product can do. Dont waste your money.
