Ive been shaving with a straight razor for 16 years and for the last two years Ive used a inexpensive barbers hair style razor because I just got tired of keeping my razors sharp. I finally decided to buy a better quality razor with disposable blades. Im only through one shave with the feather razor so my opinion may change but my first reaction is its completely different then any razor i have used before. The angle is very forced on this razor because of how little the Blade is exposed, I had to change the way I held the razor a little and it has a very soft smooth feel because the metal that holds the blade rubs you face as you shave. This isnt a bad thing its just different feeling. The only complaint Id have is that because of how little the blade is exposed cleaning the blade as your shaving is a little more difficult and when I finished shaving I actually had to use my brush under the tap to clean the blade, still far less work then keeping a blade sharpened. I think this is a great razor for someone new to straight razors or someone like me that loves the shave of a straight razor but grew tired of the work. Overall it gave me a fantastic shave.

I love this razor!!! I had wanted a Feather for a long time, as a barber who does a lot of straight razor face and head shaves, it works amazing! Love the feather blades as well. Feels great in the hand. The blade holder has a nice weight to it.

Ok so the device has a good balance , however it is not that easy for the beginner to use this , I highly recommend to use a straight edge razor over shevette, this is good for barbers that they need to have multiple blade usage, Be very careful when using this blade holder ....

Bought this as a birthday gift for my brother in law. He absolutely loves it. Says it has an amazing handle and is very comfortable to use.

I bought this razor amongst five others straight razors to swith to straight razor shaving. While not the most expensive, this is the best one for several reasons: 1. I have a large hands and the longer stem on the other side of the blade allows me to hold it correctly with two fingers, allowing for greater control 2. The longer blade shaves larger surface area 3. The holder and blade allows for a great angle that cuts well, easily (without too much experience), and smoothly 4. The switching of blades is easy and painless I dont really have any negatives other than it is kind of expensive for a shavette style razor, but i dont regret it and would buy it again.

Hi, I have this a 5 star as I have given up sharpening my straight razor and am going to a replaceable blade razor. I have seen others but on this one do you replace the whole blade? If so, are they expensive? Thanks for any advice, I may ask Santa for one.

I bought this for my dads fathers day/birthday present and he loves it! He hasnt used a straight razor in years but hes quickly getting back into the habit and its easier because its a great razor. It doesnt come sharpened but thats standard. It just came in a small cardboard box but the razor itself it high quality!
