> 24 hourPut this on my movie motorcycle and wired into existing horn switch squelch and added another switch for siren. Used their Triton Speaker and its loud. Not quit as loud as a real police siren but very close. I use this in the movie industry and cannot tell the difference in sound although its slightly less loud than a real police siren. People cannot tell the difference and the squelch wakes up people better than a horn. PA works good although the micro-phone isnt the highest quality its still very clear.

> 24 hourI’m not pleased or displeased with this unit. I purchased it to replace a bulky full function whelen siren. This unit was fairly easy to install however I really wish it had a pigtail system for the wiring. The screw terminals use a very small Philips which is hard to tighten. The PA microphone comes with a 15 foot cable which is nice but there is no grommet for the wire so if you want to run the wire through something you will be stuck with a very large hole. I ended up running the wire between my center console and the carpet. The PA mic is really big, the pics make it look small however compared to my whelen unit this thing is massive. There is also no gain or on/off switch for the PA function. There is a talk button on the side of the Microphone but since there is is no gain switch the output is fixed at max volume which I don’t like and since there is no actual off switch I can’t just throw the mic into my glove box or center console since the talk button has a short very light trigger. My whelen siren when left turned on did not have a constant draw or was less than 0.1 amps. This Feniex unit has a constant draw of 0.15 amps. My whelen unit took 7.9 amps to sound one 100 watt speaker and horn function while this feniex unit takes 12.9 amps to sound the same speaker and horn function. My whelen unit was hands down louder then this unit. Which annoys me because of the extra power draw. I do have the electric horn activated by my vehicle horn, my whelen unit would cut out the vehicle horn when I hit the button on the steering wheel. This feniex unit does not do that, and since it does not do that there is a noticeable obvious delay in the electric horn heard over the vehicle horn since they both sound at once. Since this delay exists, it is possible to tap your car horn without activating the feniex electric horn and since there is a delay, the electric horn is not activated when my car alarm goes off.

> 24 hourThe Feniex Storm Pro 100W Siren is a great product for the price. While I didnt purchase it for any of its actual siren functionality, those features work as advertised. My specific use case was as an amplifier for a PA speaker on my vehicle. In that regard, this thing both meets and exceeds my expectations. One thing that I wasnt aware of is that the microphone thats included has a 15 foot cord. So your mounting options are essentially limitless, which was a nice surprise. The product has a high quality feel. It doesnt seem cheap or as if they cut any corners while designing this thing. It feels like itll hold up to some abuse, although that being said, its not water resistant, so keep that in mind when choosing a mounting location. There are numerous openings where water could come into direct contact with the circuitry inside. I would have preferred if they had sealed it up at the factory and hope that they release a more water resistant version in the future.
