> 3 dayAlthough it does hold my 17 laptop but, there is an issue with holding much more. For example I have a small exhaust fan and with my plug and cord it wont fit file folders that I carry that will not fit without complications of not being able to zip the bag closed.

You can pack the power cord and mouse several different ways using the main storage space and/or the zipper side pocket. It seems very sturdy and provides a very soft and nicely padded place to protect my laptop.
