This is probably an okay saddle soap to use on dark-colored leather. However, I wouldnt recommend it for lighter-colored items; it left yellow stains on my white purse. Also, the soap tends to get stuck around any contrasting stitching, leather braiding etc., and since its yellow, it really shows up.

Used this to clean leather bags, shoes, and car leather. Left each item cleaner and the leather items softer. Car leather is not like shoes or bags. They are mainly coated leather, with faux leather on the “non-touch” surfaces. Coated leather has a coating like the clear coat on the paint. Saddle soap will clean the surface; nothing will clean inside, because the coating stops it. It also stops dirt and other liquids, so who cares? Don’t tell anyone, but I also used it on suede and it wasn’t ruined. (Then I used suede cleaner/conditioner and the shoes came out perfect.) Has a clean, soapy scent. I used a wet Kiwi horsehair brush and brushed it on the wet surface of the soap to raise a lather. Then used the brush on the items I was cleaning. Wiped off with a microfiber towel. Brushed with a dry brush after the item dried. Beautiful.

I loved how gently this soap cleaned my leather bag. It scared me because it was the first time I truly washed leather myself. I usually try dry cleaning. This item was much too valuable to me. This stuff works. Use a small amount! I love this stuff

What can one say about saddle soap? Fiebing is the best I have found to lay down a base coat for a spit shine. it arrived fast and in good condition.

Does exactly what it claims to do without ruining your shoes. Protected my leather winter boots throughout the winter and kept them looking fresh, even with the snowy and icy winters of the midwest.

Used it right away on my desk with leather inserts, works great!
