> 3 daySo, taking a look at the recovery rope market shows this sits right around the middle of the field, in terms of strength rating and cost. I dont know about other shoppers, but I tend to stick around the middle when it comes to my purchasing decisions. Buy too cheap and you usually regret it. Buy too expensive and youre usually shoveling money into the fire.

> 3 dayI would recommend this size to carry in a jeep wrangler or comparable size vehicle. Works well for me.

> 3 dayUsed this to pull a “short bus” out of the muck. Hooked it up to a skid steer and gave it a full force tank. Worked as designed. I had to give several pills over a long distance to get to dry land and every time it held up to the job.

Greater than one weekRope is great. Already used to pull out another Jeep. The storage bag is a joke. Only had patience once to get it back in the storage bag. Fire the person who thought that storage bag was a good idea.

> 3 dayI spend a lot of time off road both solo and with groups. I have a winch, hi-lift jack, both soft and d-ring shackles, and a selection of ARB recovery straps and tree protectors. Up until now Ive never owned a yank type strap like this that stretches. For years Ive heard how great they are but the price has always put me off (several hundred dollars for something that wont be used very often). A couple of weekends ago, I was able to test this unit side-by-side against one of my ARB recovery straps to recover someone that was very very stuck in a combination of wet sand & mud. They had buried themselves up to the axles (it was a Tacoma truck) and needed to travers about a 40 section of muck to get onto firm soil. They tried using recovery boards, but they just werent doing the trick.

> 3 dayAfter opening the package I gotta say that I’m impressed with this recovery rope. It’s got some weight to it and the construction appears to be of solid quality. The two tone color scheme looks good and the protective covers are a nice touch. The rope itself is 20ft long and has a variety of uses: Including recovery, winch extension, tree saver, and towing. It’s great to have an all in one, however, I prefer to have dedicated items for specific roles. For me this will be primarily used as a recovery rope. This rope uses kinetic energy to help you get your vehicle unstuck, which to me is easier in some cases than setting up my winch etc. Especially if the stuck vehicle only needs a little help, this rope can make the job much easier. It is comprised of 12 strand braided nylon and offers a working load of up to 18,700 pounds. That working load can accommodate a wide range of vehicles from four-wheelers all the way up to Jeeps/trucks. If you off-road this is something that you need to have handy as part of your recovery gear. As of this post I haven’t had an opportunity to test it yet, however, once I do I’ll update my post to reflect my findings. My overall opinion of the rope thus far is positive and think it’s worth a try!
