I have built several heavy duty workbenches that are used to transport heavy items. The wheels are very smooth action even when changing direction. Locking mechanisms seem to work well and are easily accessible.

Im using these castors on wooden planter boxes that are about four feet long, 18 inches wide and a foot deep. Such boxes are generally not constructed to be picked up and moved once planted, so if you anticipate moving them after filling you need to install castors. I would guess they will weigh 200-250 pounds once filled, so these castors with 1200 pound rating are arguably overkill. But I err on the side of overbuilding things. These castors seem to be robust. Heavy gauge steel, what appear to be premium wheels, ball bearings. They roll easily. Pre-cut mounting holes easily accept a #10 screw, and are in fact large enough that I installed the screws with washers to make sure screw head did not pop thru mounting hole. Note that there is no hardware supplied with the castors, but a variety of options should be readily available at any hardware store. Also, the castors do not have a brake, which for me was not an issue since my planter boxes will be on a flat deck and are not going anywhere on their own. Overall I am perfectly pleased. Highly recommended.

Heavy duty

Just what I needed. Installed them on my contractor table saw. I have a small shop and all my large tools are on mobile bases. These are so maneuverable and were easy to install. Would recommend.

Very well made. Ball bearing swivel and a solid lock up on the brake. Mounting flange was flat and true and easy to mount on a table to support a very heavy table saw. Realized the table needed six wheels, not just the four I ordered originally, I ordered four more. Very well built and solid. I like it!
