> 24 hourI recently upgraded to a new iPad 2021 (9th generation). I had previously used a case made by Finite so I decided to take a look at their current offerings. I found that they had two iPad cases that would work. I will call them CASE #1 and CASE #2. CASE #1 is the Fintie Case for iPad 9th Generation (2021) / 8th Generation (2020) / 7th Gen (2019) 10.2 Inch - Lightweight Slim Shell Standing Hard Back Cover (see https://amzn.to/3vMlXJy). This case is similar to the Apple cases in which it uses a tri-fold to allow for the case to be used for a flat table viewing position or an upright position. The problem I had with Slim Shell (CASE #1) was that the tri-fold was not secure and often led to the iPad being easily collapsed. Regardless of which way I had it set, it would not stay in place. Perhaps it was because it was new and not worked in but it was not a good setup. The flat table viewing position was also too flat when I compared this to my older folio case. I also found the leather to feel of low quality. It was not bad but it was not good. The shell did perfectly fit the iPad so that was not an issue. CASE #2 is the Fintie Folio Case for iPad 9th / 8th / 7th Generation (2021/2020/2019) 10.2 Inch (see https://amzn.to/3tVMIc3). This was the same type of case that was on my previous iPad. This offered similar protection but was slightly thicker than the slim line case. It has a tab on the back of the case in which you slide the cover into to allow for flat table viewing or upright viewing. This tab makes the positioning much more stable. For when I travel, it is great to set on the tray table to watch a movie. The leather feels much better than the slim line case as well. While this does not have corner protection like the hard shell, it clearly covers the corners and protects the iPad well. My older iPad is in near mint shape. Then again, I am not prone to dropping my iPad. If you view the pictures, you should be able to see the differences and make you own choice for either case. I opted for CASE #2 after comparing both. You mileage may vary but it comes down to what you prefer. Both work fine to auto sleep and wake when closing or opening the cover. CASE #2 does have a pen holder. Good luck with you selection.

> 24 hourIt fits perfectly and looks just like the photos. It’s a little clumsy when trying to prop it up because the folding cover doesn’t really “connect” snugly into its place, so that can be annoying sometimes. I’m not propping it up a lot so this isn’t a huge issue for me, but it was noticeable. The quality seems pretty good, particularly for the price, and it will be good for protecting my iPad while traveling.
